Compared to much of the Costa del Sol, it has managed to retain a great deal of its authentic Spanish atmosphere, despite an increase in tourism. A long promenade along the water has clubs, excellent seafood restaurants, cafes and more, and the wide sandy beach is superb. The town is connected by tram to Velez-Malaga, which is worth visiting for its historic beauty and charm.

Best churros and chocolate in Torre del mar. Always fresh and the fresh juice is lovely. Nice patio area and good tapas deals if you are in the mood. Good place to stop after the Thursday market if you can get a seat.

We discovered Las Yucas last year and it has become one of our favourite cafes. Anywhere.The staff are great, the coffees (and other drinks) are superb, and it is fabulously relaxed and cosy.Whether sitting outside in the sunshine, or whiling away a rainy day indoors, we love everything about it and we will continue to visit it anytime weâre in Torre Del Mar.

Excellent choice of food - very good steak & kidney pie the chips peas and gravy all served with friendly attentive staff. All day breakfast looked good with two of everything - a number of vegetarian options also on the menu. Will be back - dog friendly he got a bowl of water as soon as he arrived.

We were massive fans of Piyushâs restaurant in Los Romanes and are delighted that he has returned to Torre del Mar so we can enjoy his fabulous food again.
