We are a family who owns a restaurant in our house :) We love serving people and our food showcase what we love to eat.
I have been a follower of this place and the good thing about it is because is all about a nice family place where you can have nice food same if you have prepared it yourself at home. They are coffee leaders so, do not miss the opportunity to try a good one.

On Avenida Central there are a couple Spoon Bakery & Restaurants. No need to speak Spanish as the laminated menu has photos. We both ordered a salad, mine was a Mediterranean chicken salad with extra avocado and we both had fruit drinks for 5650 colones. Next time we’ll go for coffee and cake in the afternoon. There were short intense downpours of rain and a light rain jacket and umbrella worked well. It was windy and chilly in the evening and we both wore light weight fleece jackets. Diesel air pollution was an issue for me after 48 hours in this part of town, so we moved out to the Los Yoses area.

Franco is a space that brings together the best of Costa Rican specialty coffee, fresh and healthy food options, and a beautifully designed space to Barrio Escalante, the gastronomical center of San José, Costa Rica. More than just another restaurant, we'
Franco is the hip gal you want to just be pretty, but in a blow to your confidence, is actually quite bright too - with a true coffee program and an interesting, well curated menu, it's the friend w whom you'll always be impressed.Off the main drag in BE, Franco is home to a crowd is a mix of well heeled, work-optional 30-somethings, indie freelancers, and casual couples, all here for the thoughtful espresso and tasty treats. If you're in a breakie mood, the gallo pinto and avo tostada should not be missed - was tempted by the salmon sando, poke bowl, and tacos - and I've never met a superfood or quinoa bowl I didn't like. Menu is varied, skews bougie, so perhaps not to take your friend who in CR is still hankering for a Big Mac, but for most others, it will fit the bill. Solid GF options. Most nosh is $4000-6500 colones, price to portion ratio adequate. Overall, I wish it was in my neighb.

Restaurant with new concept, traditional modern, typical cuisine and native flavors, unique experience in Costa Rica. Excellent service.
Everything was just a little different. The type of restaurant in the location, the offer to sample dishes before making choices, the very high quality of the food for the price, the very attentive service, and lastly the visually comfortable venue. I enjoyed my octopus lunch immensely. The chips with five different toppings, the bean and shrimp soup (I chose the shrimp) the beautifully prepared avocado salad and the delicious chocolate pudding for desert. Portions were just right. This is a keeper. Fifteen min from Sabana SUR.

A small coffee shop with a nice eclectic decoration... in the middle of the city. A different option for the traveler who's looking for a quiet place with people, music, good drinks and tasty food. Serving tapas, pizza, beer, wine and sangria.
Kind of tucked away but worth finding. Many good items on the menu and try the sangria. The chicken burger was delicious and made to order and the staff was exceptional.

Superb quality and service. We had lunch and everything single item was fresh and obviously prepared from scratch. The menue offers a great international selection of salads, soups, sandwiches and main courses from different countries. Under no circumstances omit the dessert because they are fabulous. It is one of my favorite places in Costa Rica.

Enjoyed lunch on the back terrace which is quite pleasant surrounded by plants and lots of fresh air. The portions are quite large and filling. It was difficult to choose from all the veg options. Overall the food was tasty. Next time I will pass on the fresh juice as it was green but tasted like water.
