I visited here with a friend for lunch- I would highly recommend it. Thereâs a lovely ambience in the downstairs area. I had one of their burgers plus a delicious cake & cappuccino for afters. Very good value for what you get and it is great to support a local business.Iâve been here a few times I just wish they would replace the carpet on the stairs itâs the only thing that spoils the place.

Went for breakfast with a group of friends. I only ordered a tea and bacon buttie. It took over 40 minutes for it to arrive. My friends food was cold and my buttie bread was stale. Very very disappointed. However the place was busy. I wonât be returning sorry. Hi pearcesontour,I am very sorry this was your experience. Can I ask, was this your first time coming?I recognise your picture and remember your table. Please accept my most sincere apology for this...it really is not the norm. I don't like to make excuses but like every business, timing can be bad. We had a new chef start when you came and he had some teething problems. This chef isn't with us anymore.I can assure you that our food quality and service are extremely high (as you can see from the many reviews here and our high rating). If you were to give us another go, please show this reply to a member of staff and we will happily supply you and a friend/partner with a breakfast and coffee/tea on the house.Hope to see you soon to give us another go. I'm confident you won't have the same experience.Kindest regards and thank you for your feedback,Tim & Sophia

Having a overnight stay due to being in the area on business, we came across this little bar which was very busy and liked looked like the look of menu too. There were limited options of eateries in the immediate area and this looked the best option. We found a spare table (another 2 were available nearby), and then went to the bar to order food and drink. Whilst we were waiting to be served by the bar staff, a man /waiter came over to us and very abruptly told us we cannot order food as they are fully booked and they will not serve us food. I pointed out that we had found an unreserved table, but again he told us they would not serving us food, he then rushed away, leaving us standing at the bar. There were no apologies or alternative suggestions of where we could try. We collected our personal items from the table and left immediately.Helen - I am so sorry to hear of your experience and apologise wholeheartedly. We operate a small kitchen and all our food is freshly prepared. hence we are fairly limited on how many tables we can serve. That said we pride ourselves on our service and it would appear from your comments that we did not take enough time to explain the situation, or offer an alternative suggestions, On a more positive note, our feedback on our food is excellent, and what I would suggest is if you are in the area again please give me a call and we will certainly show you how good our food is! Regards Martyn

Went to Diabalo SA1 for fab Sunday lunch while in Swansea. Nice little restaurant in great location by the sail bridge. Everything is fresh, the chef is really talented and her focus is on quality food.We all choose the Sunday Roast. Food was truly excellent with delicious Welsh roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, and a selection of vegetables. Everything was freshly cooked and the cauliflower and broccoli cheese sauce was wonderful. For Dessert we had either the apple tart or pavlova with raspberries and blackcurrants.I have never written a restaurant review before but the quality of the food pursuaded me to share.

OMG - I had a breakfast to die for! Rustic bread, avocado, halloumi, poached egg, tomato and chilli chutney. It was delightfully tasty and each mouthful had to be savoured. The only let down was the last mouthful, as it was delicious. A breakfast I would never have thought of putting together, it was wingding eat. It set me up for the day and inspired me to eat healthily (that day). The menu on the whole was very interesting and the choice for me was difficult. The lunch menu is equally appetising and there is a lunch time deal available. Don't miss this little gem that is hidden upstairs and at the back of the Moda Shop on the Kingsway. The staff are great and the boutique restaurant surroundings are comfortable and professional. Go give it a try
