We called in recently as we fancied a bit of a breakfast treat and what's better than a bit of a fry up? Almost hidden away between the arches of Mansfield's iconic railway viaduct, the casual visitor could miss this little gem. A very smart interior, gives a great first impression as did the warm welcome we received. There is an comprehensive menu that should suit most tastes, the food arrived promptly, and both looked and tasted delicious. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Although this is part of a chain, and thus the choice is a bit limited and decided at H.O. level, you will find something that you like. The coffees are always good, and a good selection, teas, buns etc. great for a snack or midday meal. The staff here are all brilliant and make the place, from the manageress, who appears to rule with a rod of iron, but has a heart of gold, they all do. My dearly departed Dad used to eat here every day virtually, and he was always looked after by the staff, they kept their eye on him, and other older people too. The food is consistently good. Worth a little visit anytime.

It is a cafe but the food is very good. I found Julie the owner and her staff all friendly. A popular place but I always manage to get a table. Ideal if you are shopping in Sutton in Ashfield or changing buses here. They will also do a take awake meal and have a good choice of menu. Well worth a visit :-)

Stopped off here for a quick bite to eat while shopping. Good choice of sandwiches, wraps and paninis plus cakes and obviously coffee and other hot drinks. We were served fairly quickly and the food was good - chicken salad sandwich and Chicken Caesar wrap. My only complaint would be the toilet - just one self contained unisex toilet which was not overly clean, but that may be due to the previous occupant to be fair. Overall good experience though.

Often call here when we go to Sutton so I thought I would write a review ,mainly because standers never drop usually 4 to 6 of us call breakfast or lunch ,lovely friendly staff ,not posh but clean and fab food ,very reasonable prices ,all done fresh ,order at counter with your table number from bacon sausage large breakfast order ,or lunch good selection ,jackets , salads ect ,or as I had today just egg and chips always hot and delicious ,we look forward to going here little bit of sunshine in Sutton well worth a visit Glenys

We had seen The Shiny Spoon on Facebook a few times so today decided to call in on the off chance for lunch. We managed to eg a table without booking but would book if was in a bigger group. Just me and my 3 year old today. The menu is great. Just the right amount of choice and there is also a âgrown upâ kids menu. Coffee is really good and the kids drinks are served in a really novel fashion. Attention to detail makes a massive difference. Service was fast and friendly and the food really is as good as it looks. Itâs well presented, fresh and good value for money. Will definitely come back.

Called in with friends for a snack, well I thought I'll just have an omelette, when it came it had chips, a full salad and mayo, almost a full meal served to perfection and for £3.60, the other meals were all similar as well. For the price and service they cannot be beaten, call in and be sated.

We just nipped in while on a bike ride around the reservoir and bought 2 pre packaged flapjacks and a can of vimto which came to £7.45!!!In my opinion this is far too expensive and they should probably review the prices.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the teahouse. We had afternoon tea, it was lovely to catch up with friends such a beautiful surroundings. The food was really tasty and I was really pleased it came with unlimited coffee,. The staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. I will definitely be going again.

I've only visited once for tea and cake but found the service friendly and reasonable prices. The cake selection was a bit disappointing in terms of variety and aesthetics on the day but not sure if I just timed my visit badly or if they don't have too many cakes to avoid waste.They were obviously preparing for a Sunday lunch and that looked / smelled good and I saw others having breakfasts which also looked good too.I'll definitely be back for another visit soon.Hello, Thank you for your positive review on Palms Bistro.
