We stopped here for a rest on the way back home. A very relaxing environment created by the building, layout and decor. The cafe food is very good quality. We were at coffee time but one of us had the fantastic breakfast stack. The breakfast being served to others looked super. The scones were fresh and itâs good to see a regular specials option also. Itâs all really fresh and far better quality than most places. We bought sausages from the butchers also. These are the best Iâve had in Scotland... ever! Will be back sooner next time. Brilliant! The best sausages in Scotland is quite the accolade and we're delighted that you think so. They're made by our Smiddy butchers are served with our breakfasts, as well as being for sale from the butchery.Hope to see you again soon.

American influence diner Sit in / takeaway Huge menu Homemade to order In the heart of stirling town Child friendly
This place is quite small and plain, but they have a wide selection of options on the menu and make awesome waffles. I was disappointed that they did not have dairy-free milk for my coffee. Thanks for the review , sorry you could not get dairy free milk we have never been asked for it before in over 3 years operating & unless one of our regular customers asked for it we would not be stocking it due to being a waste of space & money in our small shop.

Dropped in on the way through the town. As usual the service and food quality was excellent. The medium haddock and chips is a great joice although there are plenty of other really nice items on the menu.Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

We visited the cafe on the 20th July 2019. We ordered the balsamic steak sandwich for three people. The steak sandwich was unedible as the thinly cut steak was extremely tough and over done. My Mum and Dad diidn't eat the steak sandwich because of the nature of the steak. We complained to the waitress and asked her to pass my Mum's comments onto the chef about the sandwiches. When my parents went to pay the cost of the steak sandwiches was not waived nor did a manager come over to apologise to my parents or rectify the situation. A dissapointing experience paricularly as we have had good lunches in the past. The staff were extremely busy on Saturday, however, this should not deter from good personal care from the manager on duty at the time, particularly as the lunch was not up to standard.

Went to Toast for a quick lunch before a cinema visit. We arrived and although it was busy were seen to quickly. We ordered off the menu and sat while our food was cooked. Food arrived reasonably quickly given the amount of people in at the time (albeit in a paper takeaway bag) and we dug in. However, once I was sat eating I was interupted by a member of staff who prompted us both saying "it was ok on this occasion but next time of we would be charged for eating in". She quickly moved on. Two main issues. Firstly, I was not asked if I was sitting in or taking away otherwise I would have stated sitting in. Secondly, there is no price difference written on the board between sitting in and takeaway. Therefore, how can we be challenged.Fortunately for us we are only here on holiday and won't ever be back.

I had lunch here recently with my wife and some friends. It was my first visit and the restaurant was pleasant enough and the service was good. The issue was that I ordered the wrong thing from the menu and as a result didn't particularly enjoy it. This was partly due to there not being anything on the menu that I wanted to order as I felt the options on offer were a bit "fussy". Everyone else seemed to enjoy what they had. If I went back again and ordered something else I might have a more enjoyable experience.Hi. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the dish you chose. We do try to accommodate all tastes as well as offer something a bit different from the norm. Hopefully we have something else that you can try if you pop in a again.

Situated in the small village of Doune, Perthshire a short distance away from Dunblane, Stirling and Callander as well as The Trossachs National Park. Doune is famed for its Castle, the setting of the film 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' as well as the
The first time we visited we were glad to snag the last seat inside. This time (following GOT and Outlander filming at Doune Castle) there were no seats inside but we found that they had moved to seats outside so we snagged one. Even as busy as it was we got quick service (as unlike inside outside was table service). I got a great bowl of soup and bread and my husband got a very tasty wrap of some sort. We would suggest this nice little cafe for a good breakfast or lunch or both!Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We are delighted you enjoyed yourself so much the first time that you returned. You are correct in saying that not only do we have seating in the main cafe but also our rear room (which you have to go outside to access) and of course our outside seating for when the weather permits! Itâs only fair to point out though that all areas of the cafe are table service. Thank you again for your great review - all the staff very much appreciate it.

Taigh a Ghobha - The Smithy - has ceased trading as a licensed cafe/restaurant due to owner retiring.
Been twice now and loved it both times. Food is so fresh and tasty. Parking can be a little tricky so take that into account. But its just down from the castle or up from shopping centre so if you can't get outside, you can walk! Well worth it
