I arrived in Kilwinning to get a car part wrapped and had an hour to kill I had my little brother with me and found this place! It's lovely little place a bit dated but this added to my childhood nostalgia when my gran used to take me to local cafe before shopping for a wee breaky. I came in this lovely place I ordered the cheese and ham toasty very good price too with a salad was lovely aswell as to match the staff who were lovely and helpful don't let the dated decor put you off the place is a lovely place for some food if you have time in kilwinning

My husband and I go here a lot for breakfast or lunch. Staff are friendly and the food is nice and reasonably priced. The Melbourne is a real part of the community with Acoustic music nights monthly and regular scooter club meets amongst other activities.
Had breakfast here yesterday with the family French toast, toast and beans, full breakfast and a soup all lovely. Had lunch here before was also good. My sons favourite place out of all the cafes.

Having lived in Ardrossan many years ago, our trip into Saltcoats would involve a trip to either Cavanis or the nearby Melbourne. I returned to Cavanis this month and nothing in the interior has changed. Not that there is anything wrong with that but whereâs the woman that used to cook. Blonde hair had a false tooth and had a good crack with most of the customers? What a character she was . Was it Maggie? Iâm not sure. She seemed to be there forever but not anymore. The food I ordered was ok but not that great. It wasnât as hot or well cooked as usual but again some things changed and sometimes not always for the better

Had breakfast there on weds 2 rolls n sausage, roll n links n tottie scone and toast 2 milkshakes 2 cans. Food was all nice milkshake wasn't great. Then we get the bill and we've been overcharged we tell them when paying she recalculates and gets it a totally different price still over charged but mum paid anyway. So they lost out on a tip.

Large, bright and spacious cafe situated at Irvine Harbour side with the best view in Irvine from our floor to ceiling windows. Excellent menu with plenty of choice and very friendly staff.
With a wall of glass onto the river Irvine and Garnock this lovely cafe offers well priced high quality food and drinks. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff served drinks and sandwiches in double time. Worth a visit just to sit by the window and enjoy the view with an ice cream float. Thank you so much for your lovely review. It really means a lot to myself and the staff when people take the time to write a review especially when it is as positive as yours. I will pass on your comments to the staff. We certainly have the best view in Irvine, hope to see you again soon!

A straightforward menu, classic Italian cafe/restaurant, great prices and such friendly, welcoming staff. The house wine is lovely and I love their lasagne and chips, served as a main with a starter portion of the lasagne, which is still a good portion size. The owner always puts us at ease when we have the kids with us unlike some places I've been to. My only gripe would be is that it closes too early. I would love it to be a cosy wee place me and the other half could go to at night for a romantic meal but as it is, it shuts around 4/5pm. I can't wait to go back.

Small talk is a small coffee/tea shop at harbourside in Irvine. They provide A really good breakfast and lunch and the cakes are all home made. The view of the harbour is lovely too. The staff are great and provide great service, nothing is too much troub
We called in for an impromptu cup of tea and a scone last week. It has been sometime since we have visited, just forgot what a little gem this place is. Shall just have to make a mental note to return more often
