This was our first visit after driving past dozens of times, The initial impression was lovely, service with a smile until first my wife was given a dirty cup this particular member of staff did not like being asked for a clean cup which she took a long while to bring a clean one. Then my wife spotted a gentleman drop a wallet and start walking away,as I did not know where he was going I jumped up and went to nearest door That was open to call him and inform him. I DID NOT USE THE DOOR FOR ANY REASON EXCEPT TO URGENTLY ALERT SOMEONE. I was called to order by this same lady, You don't use that door I explained she stuck her nose up.Lucky the older lady who served us in farm shop was very pleasant. We will not return.

With riverside views running the length of the restaurant, it's no wonder The Riverview Café is one of Spalding's favourite spots to recharge. You will find quality coffee and freshly cooked dishes containing only the freshest ingredients, all lovingly so
My rating would have been higher had it not been for my last visit. The cup provided for tea was dirty, I had to rummage for clean cutlery and every tray I went to pick up had marks on. What on earth has happened? However it is usually is a good place for lunch with things like soup and a panini available. Views over the river are very pleasant. Situated in a nice little department store which actually has a very good range of names that may surprise some of their first visit.

I have eaten at Hills several times and have never been disappointed. The servers are very helpful, friendly and obliging. I went in on one occasion with my daughter who is Coeliac and the staff went out of their way to accommodate her to the point where they checked labels and showed her to ensure she was happy. I was really taken back at how much care they showed. Their sandwiches are really flavoursome...I love their coronation chicken and their prawn sarnies. Overall, this is well worth a visit. Good value and great food.

We were extremely disappointed not to be served lunch at 2.10 yesterday. The website clearly states that lunch is served until 2.30. I pointed out to the very disinterested lady that we had been to the flying display that takes place daily between 1.30 -2.10 but she said lunch finished at 2pm and that jacket potatoes and sandwiches were available. We had no choice but to have the jacket potatoes as the kids donât eat much bread and they were very hungry and looking forward to the fish and chips we had promised. Sadly the potatoes were very unappetising and the skins were inedible. The sweetcorn chicken and bacon was without sweetcorn and looked like tinned cat food, the cheese that cost quite a bit extra was so bland it could have been anything that tasted of nothing grated up. No-one on the till so by the time we had paid the already awful food was now also cold. A sad end to a potential nice final day with my grandchildren. The owl centre however was the highlight of the day.

My husband wanted to try the full English breakfast & myself sausage sandwich. When it arrived half of my plate had Rocket salad on it with about one & half sausage in between the bread. The full English breakfast wasn't presented very nice & the baked beans were all over the greasy food. I had a banana milkshake which tasted more like milk. There was some bloke walking in & out of the kitchen which he looked like he was ready to go to a football match. The young ladies were very nice & pleasant.Thank you for taking time in writing your review, the menu says that the sandwiches and baguettes com with Rocket on the plate, I am not sure where I would get half a sausage from I can assure you there were 2 Mountains sausage in your sandwich. I apologise for you not liking the Full English we did over 30 yesterday with good comments on all but yours, greasy not too sure......the Bloke was actually myself the Owner I had on a clean red micro climate t-shirt on I apologise again that I did not also have my chefs jacket on as it was rather warm yesterday and in the Kitchen there was very little if no airflow so for my own comfort that is what I chose to wear, which is my choice and it not not raise any comments from the other 147 covers that I did yesterday.

Enjoyed a brilliant all day breakfast ad Bookmark. Food was well cooked, not fatty with a perfect poached eggs. Great service as well. Bacon was slightly dry otherwise would have been perfect. More than willing to give it another go to see if Bookmark can produce a 5 star.

Ayscoughfee Hall Cafe is a family run business with a passion for food. Our vision is to create a family friendly eatery using locally sourced homemade food.
Brilliant family run cafe in the grounds of Ayscoughfee Hall in Spalding. The Hall itself is well worth a visit and the gardens surrounding it are spotlessly kept. The Cafe has recently had a change of owner and my goodness the difference is extraordinary. The food is inventive and beautifully presented using as far as possible ALL local produce. The bread is either artisan or home baked, whatever, it is as far from supermarket bread as is possible. Everything is individually prepared and plainly a great deal of care is taken to get the presentation just right. Yes there will be a slight wait for the food but it will be worth it. Don't walk by this place, go in and try it!

We had planned to go to another Long Sutton teashop. Thank goodness it was closed or we would never have found this delightful establishment. Beautiful surroundings, amazing food and Sal was so friendly and helpful when we left we felt like we had made a friend. As a half way point between to friends, we will be back very soon as ladies who don't lunch enough. Thank you!
