From all of my experiences with this place, I would mention rather good food quality and taste - I always liked food there, especially seafood salad. The service is also always very welcoming, the waiters are very nice, friendly and ready to help. Being situated in line with several more cafes along one street, I would say it wins in quality and popularity, so others cannot compete :-)

This little restaurant is tucked away down a side street over the road from the Assumption Cathedral. I say strange as it had run out of all cold local beer and had a dance channel playing on TV which seemed very strange for the customer mix in there.Menu is Russian only. Had something pork based which tasted fine - though I have to say I was v. hungry / thirsty.

The location of this restaurant is convenient - it's right off of Smolensk's main street.The interior is nice - there are many different sizes of tables which would be appropriate for different occasions (a big group, a date, etc etc). It seems to be fairly popular among the lcoals, as there were several parties when we were there.The main thing about this restaurant as I see it is that it has any kind of food you could possibly want. There is pizza on the menu, There is sushi. There is pasta. There is shashlyk. There are a bunch of other things that I now forget. And maybe you are thinking, like us, "Yeah, they can't possibly do all of that well.". I can say that everything that we did try was excellent. This might be a plus for families or groups whose tastes vary.If you are in the center of the city and want a tasty and filling meal, this is a good place to try.

I loved this place. Beautifully decorated creating really comfortable surroundings. Leather sofas as well as tables and chairs. Great for lunch/dinner but also tea/coffee and cakes. Extensive menu including a large Japanese selection. Friendly waiting staff. I had the meat croquettes, tasty. Need a side order with them, I chose grilled veg. To follow delicious cherry strudel and a very pretty pot of tea. Plush loos. Recommended

After a "warm welcome ".we have been told off not to take photos of this lovely cafe . Why ? I don't know !! My friends knew the place and all the dishes were very tempting . We had "Russian Pirogi" so good and very light . I had the chicken sausage with ratatouille, very good . All teas were amazing , the green tea with mint and peas was delicious as well as the buckthorn cranberries juniper rosemary hot drink . My friend had the " Pirogi with tvorog " again very light and crispy . A must to go for a quick lunch .
