Things to do in Sidney
We finished our morning walk along the Sidney pier and found this delish breakfast spot just off the main street in downtown Sidney. The Westcoast poutine, Canadian poutine and the avocado toast were our favorite dishes. To be honest, we spent 4 days in Sidney and every morning we started our day here. Why mess with a good thing?

First time we had ventured from Galiano Island to Sidney for supplies but with the Ferries running late we needed some lunch. Saw the sign for La Pignatta found a parking stall on the street and went in. A very pleasant interior light green and orange interior, lots of wonderful art on the wall and a menu of home made soups. Good coffee as well. We will be backDear Grace's Dad,We are glad you had a great sailing over, and found our Grab N Go Soup Bar and Lunch Counter! Your pictures are wonderful, and a nice addition to our Trip Advisor page! Thank you! It has been a wonderful process bringing in come colour and life into the location. And our designer/artist, Kimber, thanks you for the complements on her "wonderful art". The wall mural menu of our espresso-bar beverages is one of a kind - with the chalkboard application at the bottom of each piece. This was our first stop on Vancouver Island a little gem of a place, we hadnât had breakfast so decided to go for âBrunchâ we werenât disappointed, the chowder was delicious, so was the salad and the beef sandwich my husband had, well, there were no complaints from him! Pservice with a smile, and nothing is too much trouble also reasonably priced.

There are several excellent breakfast places in Sidney and this is one of the best. Simple, lots to eat, good prices, well presented and friendly staff. My wife asked about an unusual plant on the windowsill and the chef gave her one to take home! Turns out he grows them. We'll be back.

We stepped out of the snow in Sidney this morning into Quince on Beacon Street. Imagine a really good cup delicious Italian roasted coffee paired with a current scone like the ones that your grandmother used to make and you have Quince staged perfectly. A really cozy unpretentious little place, staffed with super friendly people...located just a block from the ocean pier. I checked out their sandwich bar and after watching them prepare a vegetarian panini made a promise to myself to come back! Surprisingly reasonable - about the same price you encounter while rolling up the rim. Lovely words! Thank you so much for the kind review! :)

Hit this joint up on a Sunday when they offer just breakfast all day. Real small venue with some folks waiting although we got a table right away outside on the sidewalk. Food was good although not outstanding. Service was very quick with friendly servers. Breakfast for two with tip clocking in at $37 which was a tad pricey for the overall experience.
