Reviews on Cafe food in Shreveport, Louisiana, United States. The Red River is the heart and soul of Shreveport, a cultural and gaming center on the Louisiana/Texas border. Riverboat casinos evoke the glamour and mystery of the past while providing modern travelers with thrills and excitement. If the tables aren't your style, take a trip over the neon-lit Texas Street Bridge to the horse-racing at Louisiana Downs in Bossier City, Shreveport's thriving sister city. Visitors can unwind in one of Shreveport's botanical oases and enjoy the area's fine waterfront dining, shopping and entertainment. Shreveport sizzles in the summertime but has a temperate climate for the rest of the year.

Went on a weekday for lunch as part of the 318 special for the city. Ordered the 318 catfish sandwich special with cup of gumbo and fries. The fries were okay, but the other two items were simply uneatable. This was quite possibly the worst meal I have ever been served in a restaurant. The gumbo was a putrid mush of greenish material and the fish was cold and virtually tasteless and it looked horrible as well. My lady left the table and spoke in a low voice to our waitress before returning to the table to inform me that she had told the young lady that we simply couldn't eat the food and were going to leave. We exited the place in shock, not believing what was just served to us.John, Iâm extremely sorry that you had a bad experience. It is certainly not what we usually hear and Iâd like to see how we can make this up to you so please Email me at [email protected] and we will figure something out.
Where to eat American food in Shreveport: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Weâve tried to give this restaurant the benefit of a doubt, but after several visits, we will not return. Why?1. Slow service. 2. Bad coffee (especially the âBrazilianâ). 3. Cooked egg dishes are never hot, sometimes downright cool. 4. Do not, under any circumstances, order the salmon. It will tear your stomach up, and test your digestive system. Is it worth it? I think not. Thanks so much for coming in and letting us know about your past few visits. We're terribly disheartened to hear you think the food and service at Another Broken Egg Cafe is less than exceptional. We have shared your review with our management team, and we sincerely hope you'll give us another try in the future!
