A quick visit for lunch after working nearby. It was the varied and â differentâ menu that attracted me. I chose a spicy Moroccan minced lamb pitta and was not disappointed. The spicyness was mild so didnât deter from the delicate Moroccan flavours. However, a home made tzatziki was included and helped cool things down. One great thing ... there was a small accompanying salad that did NOT include those awful trendy limp mixed leaves that taste like dandelions that so many restaurants think are good for you. No, it was a nice crisp iceberg that was full of crunch and flavour. Well done The Belly Rub. Just one small thing was that the coffee was not as strong as I prefer - but then, thatâs a personal taste and many people enjoy a smoother, mild flavour so I donât feel the need to dock them a rating because of it. The service was genuinely friendly and quick and the ambience was great. Overall .... a great little place.

We called in this café because the restaurant further up the road was closed. What attracted us was the sign outside saying crab on the menu until we went inside and was told they hadn't got any. They should have removed the sign but I guess it was to lure people in and it worked. The waitress was very loud and over fussy as she went through everything on the menu with us, it kind of frightens people off . I ordered at the counter but the assistant wanted the drinks order first, I asked if we could have the drinks when the food arrives as usually the tea has gone cold by the time the meal is served. The food arrived but no drinks . we were struggling to digest the food without a drink and had to leave half of it then the tea arrived. I guess we were being made to wait after refusing the drinks at the beginning. The food was nothing out of the ordinary and the service made you feel uncomfortable.

Delighted to have found Bar Street in Scarborough- surely the most interesting with a variety of interesting shops. We couldn't resist entering Boddy's as it looked very pleasant for a coffee break. Actually mid morning it was heaving inside and we had trouble finding a table. In ordering at the counter the cakes and scones looked particularly good and the four of us had scones which were huge and very good indeed. We would certainly come here again in we're ever in the town in future.

Called in based on the many positive TA reviews this little quaint tea room had received. We were not disappointed! We had lunch here, three ham (home baked) sandwiches, accompanied with salad, crisps & coleslaw with their homemade piccalilli, delicious! We loved their piccalilli so much that we bought a jar to take with us, and would have bought another one had they not sold out of it. Service was excellent as well as the food & their delicious cakes. We will definitely be returning back!

Without a doubt one of the best places to eat in Scarborough. Eat Me Cafe offers something unique to locals. From their steak burgers and 'dirty eggs' to the ramen noodles, Thai green curry and Shetland pie, the food is outstanding! The food is freshly made, ingredients locally sourced, and you can just taste their enthusiasm for great food in every bite.Definitely order a portion of chips. I don't know what goes into making them (beyond potatoes), but good God are they divine!
