Like many Western (or Western-style) places in Japan, Saera seems a little overpriced compared to the hearty, filling Japanese food you can get elsewhere for less. But we went for breakfast around 11 and enjoyed tasty crab, "pastrami" (clove-spiced salted beef), smoked chicken salad, and FRUIT (!!) sandwiches. 2150yen for 2 sandwich orders (it's nice that you can get half&half sandwich types in 1 order - 2 little sandwiches of each flavor), coffee, and a milk tea. If this were lunch It wouldn't work for me bc I wasn't full afterwards, but for breakfast it was good to try once. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. It gets crazy busy at lunch so come early. It opens at 10.

Visited this dessert shop last june 2018. The place located at the basement of Paseo Shopping mall and located at the corner. This place use Yotsuba dairy for their milk. It's quite unique how they serve the cafe Au Lait. Usually when you order cafe au lait you will get coffee and milk in one cup however this shop seperate it. The coffee and milk will come in seperate pot and one big empty bowl for you to drink the coffee. The pancake and parfait quite nice too.

The restaurant is located in the underground passageway between Odori station and Sapporo station, just at the entryway of Odori station. The cafe seems to sell itself as a coffee and dessert place. Indeed the desserts look very attractive. But the main draw for us is the Japanese Italian food.We ordered the Mentaiko pasta (spaghetti with crab roe) [~600yen] and the Hamburger Steak pasta (spaghetti with hamburger patty) [~800yen], 2 iconic Japanese-styled spaghetti dishes. Both were absolutely delicious.

This restaurant puts a creative twist on their ice cream. They have about 3 or 4 sets to choose from. Generally you'll get your choice of two liqueurs and some toppings. You can experiment with combinations on your spoon. It's pretty popular so expect to wait in line for at least 20 minutes if you go in the evening! It's worth it.
