Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in San Francisco. Each of San Francisco's unique neighborhoods has its own collective personality shaped by its residents, topography and history. This diversity is one of the great hallmarks of the city, as well as its tradition for rebellion, and both make traversing San Francisco as a visitor an intriguing adventure that provides fresh discoveries for locals as well. While half of the city’s growth during the 19th century was due to the arrival of American immigrants, the balance was due to immigration from around the world. Today, the city's neighborhoods reflect this fact with their cosmopolitan flair and distinctive character.

Charming neighborhood restaurant serving AWESOME American style cooking. We are located on Taylor Street, the Mason Taylor Cable Car rolls down Taylor Street where it turns around and goes back to Union Square.
Reasonably pricey for a cafe but otherwise very good. The food is delicious and the portion sizes are fantastic, the breakfast options are exactly what you need to start your day.

We came here on our final day in the city and only wish we came here sooner. The breakfasts tasted great and were very good value. The place was absolutely packed (even for late morning on a Tuesday!) so is obviously a popular place! The friendly staff kept pouring us fresh coffee which was an even nicer treat! If you're in the area then I'd absolutely recommend this place to start your day.

We loved this place that we found on lower Nobb Hill. We had the Shrimp/Crabcake Benedict and the California Omelet, they were both wonderful. Plenty of food and the fried potatoes were amazing. The staff was very friendly, attentive and able to answers all my dietary questions about sugar usage. We were here two midweek days and did not have to wait to be seated. However, I understand it can be quite busy on the weekends. They are open for breakfast and lunch, the sign on the door indicated they close at 2:30pm PST.

We always stop at this place for the best Irish Coffee. Itâs amazing, always full but the service remains exceptional.

The Taylor Street Coffee Shop is a long-standing favorite of San Francisco offering the city fresh, tasty coffee and delicious breakfast food including the millionaire's bacon. We love to serve a healthy breakfast with lots of fresh fruit, but also have i
This little restaurant is right across the street from the Hilton and was a fabulous find. Thank you TripAdvisor. We all enjoyed our lunch which was served quickly and perfectly prepared. The burger was excellent. For place that has the word coffee in the name I was hoping for better coffee however everything was great other than that

Great location in the Wharf, had breakfast 2x while we were in town. Opens relatively early (7:00am) which was nice-- we're early birdies. Breakfast is abundant and the service is hopping-- The first time we were there, perfect everything-- the second day a little slower service, but generally a nice breakfast spot.

The food here is beyond good. You donât get cheated and they have everything from omelets to different types of Benedictâs. They are know for their millionaire bacon and itâs awesome. We tried the bacon sampler and all four flavors were off the hook. This isnât a discount restaurant but youâll notice by the long lines of people waiting the cost is no object. Best to get there before 9:00am if you donât want to wait too long. Hi Sam. We greatly appreciate your visits and your very nice review. Thank you! We agree that getting in early is the best way to beat the line but it usually moves pretty quickly throughout the day and we provide complimentary coffee while you wait to make it as pleasant as possible. We look forward to having you back again in the near future!

This is one of the best breakfast/brunch places I've ever been to. Great selection of delicious dishes, friendly and attentive service, very reasonable prices, and good coffee! What more can you ask for? We eat here at least once every time we come to San Francisco.
