Visited on a sunny Saturday afternoon in October, the place was pretty much full including the pavement seats. The ambiance was very genial and a mix of ages. Fresh coffee and very good cakes, the service was a little slow though. Strange thing was that at 14:45 they started turning customers away saying they were shutting at 15:00 even though the sign on the door advertised a 17:00 closing. Obviously profit is not their objective as St Anneâs was busy with potential customers. Definitely worth stopping by but watch out for opening times.

I visited La Shop with a group of friends for our weekly 5 à 7. We only had drinks but I will definitely be back to try their grilled-cheese specialties. This café-bar is open for breakfast and lunch. There is a changing list of 5 or 6 wines available by the glass or bottle which are VERY reasonably priced and several beers available on tap as well. For the breakfast afternoon crowd there is also café au lait,, cappucino, espresso, latte....Enjoy!

Homemade soups - everything from scratch. Menu varies daily due to the returning clientele. Great freshly baked deserts, terrific prices and service. Has been in business a long time due to its great quality. I hope I am able to contribute a review to thi
We stopped here for lunch on the recommendation if a friend. The specials menu had some interesting choices (Lobster roll, Beer battered fish, Bavette of beef, Tomato boccocini pizza with asparagus, etc. The Gazpacho is a must try!!). We say out on the terrace and even though it was 90°F outside we were comfortable because of the shade trees. The staff were friendly and efficient. The prices are a little higher than you would think for a lunch stop, but the food is high end so that is to be expected. I will be back!

The chef, Ãric Garand & the sommelier, Jinny Dufour are happy to unveil this unique concept to Magog. Friendly, warm space a meeting point to discover and share the pleasures of the gourmet table. You will find delicate and original dishes to share (tapas
Eric and Jinnyâs Plaisir Gourmand in Magog is one of our favourite restaurants. We used to drive all the way up from New York City to Hatley to dine in the original location of Plaisir Gourmand for their fantastic tasting menu in the farmhouse. The owner chef/sommelier couple Eric and Jinny are outstanding hosts, always providing five star service and delicious creative dishes and drinks with excellence, creativity and unique hospitality. We were thrilled to learn the new location in the center of Magog had just opened when we were visiting the first week of July. So great is the restaurant and hosts that we had dinner there two evenings in a row, both excellent but the second night was a particularly fantastic experience with a mystery tasting menu with wine pairings all Italian themed. The whole restaurant was alive with excitement and comraderie. We sang along to the wonderful blues soundtrack as we watched Eric carefully create one masterpiece after another serving it with care to each patron while Jinny created wonderful pairings. If you are in the eastern townships you must not miss this spectacular gem of a restaurant. We have traveled in many regions of the world and have enjoyed some of the best restaurants in the world and in nyc where we live and Plaisir Gourmand is right up there with the best. Every dish on the tasting menu was outstanding. Thank you Jinny and Eric for making our trip to the eastern township so memorable. We cannot wait to visit again. Merci beaucoup.WOW! Thank you so much! We look forward to welcome you again.

We were exploring Louise Penny Territory and were desperately hungry. We came upon this converted barn café with no air conditioning and decided to give it a chance. We each had a BLT with chips. These were change-your-life BLTâs. They smoke their own bacon every week with a special recipe. Who would have figured to find such goodness in an out of the way place.

We have been here several times over the past few years, and never been disappointed. The dishes are usually quite large, so no need for a desert... This time we had the smoked meat sandwich. Very good and plenty of meat. The french fries were also good, well fried and tasty. And the atmosphere on the outdoor section is indeed pleasant. A good place to relax and enjoy a beer and good food. Service is also quick and pleasant.Thank you so much! Next time keep place for the desert they are awesome! Hope to see you soon!

They have a very nice menu and great coffee. They roast their own beans. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is casual. They have a liquor license if you want a drink. Nice sandwiches and great eggs benedict served until 2 on the weekends.

Breakfast and brunch, inspired by Quebec local products. All day, micro-roaster coffees, fine teas, pies, cakes and other "mignardises", to enjoy at the café or to go. Apero with local wines, private import wines and antipasti. In the cafe or on the terra
A wonderful dining experience in a charming and historic Inn. Had both breakfast and lunch here during a business visit in town and both were outstanding for both taste and presentation and the service was superb. Excellent value for the quality as well. The restaurant, while small, is very bright and clean and comfortable. I'll definitely stop here whenever I'm in the area. Brave! Limited days for public (Early week serves hotel guests only, at least off-season).

Quaint little bistro style Cafe serving Eastern European inspired cuisine. Open Thursday & Friday 11 AM - 3 PM Saturday & Sunday 10AM - 4PM
We got a pre-theatre take out sandwich from the display case. Friendly service, but pricey for a hunk of tuna on 2 pieces of regular bread. People eating in resto seemed pleased.Good morning, Thank you for your review. All prices are listed on our price list on the counter. I just wish you would have described better the display case, as we de not want readers to think that we sell pre packed sandwiches as you find in convenience stores or gas station. Our bread comes from the local bakery and we use the best and fresher ingredients we can find locally. Unfortunately, being a small business we do not have the same opportunities as chains or franchises so our running costs are higher than all others. We offer more than 40 options of meals in our display case, which makes it unique and this is why customers are coming back. Hoping that you did enjoy your sandwiches.
