Things to do in Rothbury
we found this place by chance and it was 7;15 and when we asked if they were open the gentlemen said of course come on in. He was the only staff on I think all the others went home because it was quiet. He was awesome the food was awesome and so resonable. great value for what we eat $264.00 for 6 of us having three courses for most of us. The dessert was to die for and dinner was exceptional, well presented. We recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for dinner other than the expensive hunter valley restaurants. Highly recommend

Reading only the recent positive reviews we thought that we would try. My son had the biggest best ever bacon & egg roll with added mushroom. I asked if I could create a different menu option and they were only too happy to deliver and boy did they deliver. It is a small quiet location over looking lovely gardens and the prices are great as compared to other places at the Hunter. The service was exceptional. This was the best breakfast we ever had - thank you. Hi! Thank you so much for the lovely review. We are always happy to cater for everyone's dietary requirements and are so glad you enjoyed your breakfast. Hope you and your son had a lovely day exploring the Hunter Valley. Look forward to seeing you back soon!

Pleasantly surprised by this nice little restaurant in the Hunter Valley Gardens. Nice country food and reasonable prices. Waitress was very attentive and we didnât have to wait very long for our meals. Even my granddaughter was occupied with coloured pencils and a picture to colour in.

Having experienced such friendly and welcoming service at every place we visited in the Hunter Valley wine region we were very disappointed with the lack lustre service we received here. Staff seemed very disinterested and were unhelpful. We did buy some smoked fish which was very good but at $75 per kilo very expensive.

Perfect for a casual breakfast or lunch serving an amazing fresh range of local, Australian and International gourmet food. Picture yourself relaxing in a small cafe in Provence or Tuscany, we have created an ambiance to rival that. Itâs a place to relax
Popped in late arvo to pick up some small goods after tasting in nearby Harkham Wines. Were greeted politely by a waitress packing down the cafe, then were promptly ignored by 3 staff for over 10 mins. Another customer walked in and accosted a staff member and was served with no acknowledgement that we had been patiently waiting for service. We decided at that point that this business was not interested in our custom and left.Really poor customer service. This is the second time we have experienced disinterested customer service at Two Fat Blokes and we wont be back.

Good coffee, good service, friendly people. This is a sort of catch all place... meals, basic groceries, gas, magazines, take-away... but really buzzes with a feel-good attitude.

Went for lunch on Thursday. It was our first visit here as we usually eat on the other side of the wine region at places like Baume (Lindemans Ben Ean winery). We ordered the lasagne and gnocchi with pulled lamb.My wife said the lasagne was tasty but it needed a bit more depth of flavour. The cares salad was good. The salsa verde was not necessary. The seasoned chips were tasty. The pulled lamb with gnocchi was delicious. It had a rich tomato-based sauce and had a generous serving of juicy cherry tomatoes, feta cheese and olive tepenade. The large pillows of gnocchi were melt in the mouth! The sauce was so plentiful I asked for some bread to soak it up.Both meals filled our bellies we didn't have room for a dessert. The beverage prices are on par with other good eateries in the Hunter. The flat white coffee was too hot for my liking as the milk was slightly burnt.Overall, a pleasant cafe with a nice outlook over the small dam. I suspect the sun, mozzies and flies could be a problem if eating on the deck in summer.

Enzo warmly welcomes you to our charming sandstone restaurant. . . As the story goes, 'enzo' have been established since 1996, yes one of the original cafes in wine country pokolbin! When there were dirt roads 'n stuff! We are historically known for our a
Nice atmosphere, a lot of staff but waiting time for food was rediculous. I went there for breakfast with my partner and child. We waited for over 45 minutes for our breakfast and the restaurant wasn't even full. It really ruined our experience at cafe enzo and food was slightly above average not worth the wait

Quiet wet midweek, and there aren't a lot of people in the place. Efficient service, good coffee, perhaps not the best Portuguese Egg Tart I've ever had (pastry pretty chewy from refrigeration) and a nice ambience.
