Cranberry Swamp is a cool stylish licensed restaurant located at 24 Skinner Street, Whitby. We specialise in gluten-free food but do offer a choice of bread for those of you who love your toast! Gluten-free does not mean Fun-free! If anything the flavours
Nice to find somewhere that offers full gluten free options for those requiring them. Staff are helpful and food is good quality and tasty. You arenât going to get anything fancy and unusual, but for a cafe the choice is good and well prepared. Nice relaxed atmosphere away from the queues at the harbour restaurants. As in a few places in Whitby, credit cards are not accepted due to poor Wi-fi coverage.

Have visited this place several times over the past year, & took friends there last weekend, we just love the quirky design, fittings & feel of the place. A lovely cafe that serves sandwiches & cakes with the most fantastic gin menu, the staff are lovely & very knowledgeable about their products always happy to help you choose, its a hidden gem & great way to spend a few hours late afternoon

We are a small unlicensed eatery, serving just pie mash peas and gravy. We welcome dogs and their owners. We don't have any Alcohol, but you are more than welcome to bring your own or pop over the road to the Endeavour pub who will let you bring a nice co
Cozy, warm and friendly. Homemade pies and mash. Plenty of gravy. Dog friendly. Take your own booze. Or buy a pint from the pub opposite. Fantastic value. My lamb pie superb.

Freshly baked Scones, Cakes & Bakes along with hot & cold snacks and light bites. Serving freshly ground 'Baytown Coffee' and a choice of 16 'Suki' loose leaf teas. Where possible we use local produce and suppliers, many of which are also available in our
The first challenge when eating afternoon tea at the Willow Branch, is finding it! BUT it is well worth the effort! The tea shop is carefully hidden on the first and second floors above shops on Golden Lion Bank. As you walk up Golden Lion Bank, you'll see a shop on your left selling filled roast pork rolls.... resist the temptation to go in ( save that delight for another time). Walk up the hill a little further and on your left you'll see the door and stairs which will take you to the Willow Branch. We have eaten here on a number of occasions, but I can particularly recommend the afternoon tea, which we sampled for the first time last weekend: Round one - ham hock sandwiches, tuna & mayo sandwiches, cheese scones and cream cheese & hummus wraps. Round two - carrot cake, fresh strawberries on shortbread and lemon drizzle cake. Round three - fruit scones with cream and plum jam...â¦â¦. all wonderful, tasty and home made and served with a nice pot of Yorkshire tea.... or a pot of an endless variety the fancy teas if that's to your taste (not for me though!). And very reasonably priced to boot!

now called yhe blacksmiths ...we visited here yesterday with my husband and family. prices were high but we thought we would try the new place. service and the food was a long long time in coming. when it did it was sparse. quite small portions compared to the prices. but the food was lovely and hot and very tasty. the bill was wrong but got sorted out quickly.we couldn't understand why young children were the main waiters I. guess around age 9 & 15 ish..in another way it's great they are helping and keeping busy. so mixed personal thoughts really. it's a good place to eat if you have plenty of spare cash and arent too hungry. nothing bad to say just observations from me

Small take away on the Quarter Deck looking out to sea, Locally sourced food when available, Donuts, Freshly made sandwiches, Panini. Cake, good fresh coffee and hot tea.
Stopped and had a couple off cuppas, some doughnuts and a crab sandwich with mayo, lemon on thick brown bread with a gorgeous view out to sea. Food was delicious, big thick sarnie with loads of tasty Whitby crab. The doughnuts were freshly made and had a choice of sugar or sugar and cinnamon. There was a choice of cakes and coffees. Would definitely come back, lovely little place with a fab view out to sea!

Away from the hustle and bustle of Whitby, Coast Bar & Bistro offers fantastic home cooked food served in sensational surroundings. Situated on the Cleveland Way and close to the Cinder Track, Coast is an ideal drop off for walkers and day trippers. And w
Tif you are walking the coast to coast this is a good place to enjoy a refreshing glass of Smugglers Gold before the final push to Robin Hood's Bay. The cafe is spotlessly clean, thoughtfully styled and smells of warmth and coffee. We had a nicely baked scone too and the food for lunch, undergoing preparation in the kitchen, looked appetising and wholesome.

Cafe and gift shop in the heat of Robin Hood's Bay, a stone's throw from the beach.....specialising in loose leaf teas, Baytown coffee, freshly baked bread and all things toasted !! Fish finger sandwiches and all day breakfasts our speciality :) ! x
Visited here in June- stepped through the door to a big welcome from the guys running the show. Everything done with a smile and humour- re-arranged our tables so we could get in-dogs welcome.Quirky set up with a music theme- small kids corner- one of those comfy places which made you want to stay for a 2nd cuppa!Cakes ad coffee good with decent portions on both. Light snacks option too. looking at the poster they have occasional music nights too- worth checking their Facebook page. Not a cafe and i wouldn't call it a bistro, a good in between option
