Adventurous Spoon

We visited twice, once with friends for coffee and chocolate and once for breakfast. The coffee and chocolate were both good. We ate poached eggs, spinach and mushrooms on ciabatta for breakfast the next day and the eggs were cooked to order. Good old-fashioned country service and helpfulness.

Union Cafe

Came here on a Friday morning for breakfast. Eggs and bacon were delicious (you can certainly tell the difference with free range eggs) and very generous portions. Very friendly staff and had a lovely chat with the owners. Highly recommended plus they use the local coffee roasters (Mahalia in Robe).

A little gem of a cafe which is trying hard to reproduce a French patisserie. The croissants were light and perhaps the quantity of butter was a bit overdone but brought back memories of breakfasts in France.
