Lets start from the beginning...We were welcomed by a friendly figure who accompanied us to our table...The stuff was really polite and eager to recommend us the best dishes for Cretan flavours...The environment was really cosy... everything was tidy clean and the music was great...We ordered a variety of seafood... everything came on time...the grilled seabream fillet and the seabass were exquisite...also the salad with tyrozouli was to die for...at the end they offered us homemade orange pie...Would definitely recommend...

To build a perfect coffee is easy. All you need is a blend of good quality and a man who knows the art of preparation. The hard part is to make a hangout. Because coffee is not just a beverage. It never was. Barrio means neighborhood. And neighborhood mea
Visited after seeing such good reviews- didnât realised there were 2 in the area so ended up walking a bit further than planned. Great menu, food was lovely and staff were attentive. Prices were reasonable, especially when you consider the little extras we got such as fruit and dessert. Nicely decorated interior, didnât feel crammed so a good way to spend time out of the sun to recharge. Dear 997antheaw , Thank you so much for visiting our café recently and for your warm feedback. Your heartening review is welcome news for our team, that always aims to offer our guests a unique experience. We hope to welcome you again soon .Kindest regards, Barrio The Neighbourhood Cafe

we had breakfast at cul de sac as it was one of the only opened place at 9am and it has a nice terrasse but it is really for tourists... yogurt with honey was good but it was already prepared with a LOT of honey and nuts. The âfruit saladâ was ridiculous: a glass full of juice with cubes of apple, banana and kiwi, very disappointing compared to the amazing watermelon and fruits we have had so far. Maybe we should have asked for fruit âplatterâ but avoid the fruit salad!Coffee was all right but it was overall an expensive breakfast for the area : 20⬠for 4 espressos, 1 juice, 1 yogurt and 1 fruit saladSo go there if you want a breakfast for tourist in a nice terrasse :)Dear Annenvoyage,All critism is welcome because with your help we can correct and impove or change certain aspects of our services and facilities in the future.Kindest Regards,Vaso SolanakiGeneral Manager

Biggest crepe I've EVER eaten!! They are a meal in themselves!! I had a crepe with sour cherry, cream cheese (sounds weird but which was lush) and pistachio ice cream It was massive and absolutely superb!! BUT beware - like most other places they smoother everything in chocolate sauce. f ever I was having a crepe with chocolate I always asked for a LITTLE bit of chocolate sauce. That said the crepe I had with cream cheese and sour cherry was perfect. All four of our party loved their food, including my mate who had a 'bubble waffle'. This place has been here for years, its good!!

We had visited this lovely place last year and again this year. George, the owner remembered us and greeted us as long lost family. Great food and friendly service with George as the perfect host. We highly recommend this lovely place to everyone.

Large attractive and comfortable place overlooking the beach with delectables snacks and refreshing cocktails and music suit all tastes ...
I have made this my home base every time Iâve visited beautiful Rethymno over the past few years. Everything others have said is true. A lovely, family run bar and a great place to drink beer or excellent cocktails, enjoy a light meal, meet delightful and interesting people from all around the world, maybe watch a little bit of sports if thatâs your thing and above all enjoy wonderful, friendly service from Arben and his family. Every time I come back I am treated like a returning friend - but thatâs not unique to me. Every guest, whether a regular or a first time visitor will receive the warmest of welcomes. (Oh, and the drinks are pretty decent too!).Strongly recommended on all fronts.

This is one of few places where they know how to make a mojito. Barrio cocktail is my favorite. We were here twice. And ate the same burger. Not noisy even though near heavy traffic road. We preferred to sit at the back outside, we didnt hear the traffic. Welcoming and attentive staff.Dear LilleNille,Thank you for sharing this feedback on tripadvisor. We are pleased to read that you have spent a nice time with us and that you enjoyed the burger we served you! You are always welcome to Barrio!Kindest Regards,Barrio The Neighbourhood Cafe - Kallithea
