Reviews on Cafe food in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Province of Limon, Costa Rica. Only real-deal surfers should brave the torrid waters of Puerta Viejo de Talamanca, known both for their beauty and for their dangerously strong riptides. Surf’s especially up at Salsa Brava and Playa Cocles. Not to fear—the rest of you water bugs can enjoy snorkeling, kayaking and diving in the calmer waters of Cahuita or Manzanillo. Rent a mountain bike to coast to Manzanillo for a full, fun experience.

I was so happy when Puerto&Co opened in Puerto Viejo, where I live. I work remote and often rely on cafe's to work from. P&CO has amazing food, great service, and fast internet. Try the cheesecake! My absolute fave. Would recommend anyone to eat and work here.

I have eaten here about once a week for almost two months while living in Puerto Viejo. The food is fantastic, and the fish in chips were particularly special. Fresh Caribbean fish helps . They also stock craft beers and the staff are really friendly and great. There is also live music here a couple of times a week. Pura vida

Traditional lay back restaurant in the city center of Puerto Viejo. The place offers mostly traditional dishes and very good drinks. The place is mostly visited by locals living in Costa Rica. The dishes size are quite impressive. For example, I've order pollo en salsa caribbean. I had mostly half of the chicken.I would recommend the place to a group of friends travelling.
Farm-to-Table, organic fare with a magical fusion of healthy world flavors. A creative and varied menu to satisfy the most sophisticated foodies, including vegan and gluten-free options. ** We source the highest quality Costa Rican organic coffee & cacao
We accidentally ran into that place and loved the place at once! During our stay in Puerto Viejo we came to have lunch at that place for several times. The ambiance is wonderful and the food is really good. They offer plenty of healthy options. The açaà bowl is amazing as well. The açaà itself comes from an organic farm nearby! Thank you for the lovely review. Weâre pleased to know you were happy at GypSea meeting your expectations. It is always our goal to put a smile on our guestsâ faces. Pura vida!

While traveling thru Costa Rica. I had to return to my favorite town of Puerto Viejo after 15 years. The food scene here has only gotten better but the prices are a bit more expensive than what I remembered. But my favorite place by far for breakfast and lunch was The Hangover. I actually just stumbled across this little gem while exploring the town. Itâs one block off the main road. There menu is what drew me inside. The menu is fun, creative, affordable and delicious! The service and decor is warm and welcoming. I ended up eating here every afternoon while in PV. All the food here I tried was slamming and paired perfect with the sweet reggae tunes! Who ever opened this place knows what there doing and thatâs coming from a person whoâs been in the restaurant game for 20 years. Hope they make it because restaurant bizz tough. Definitely should give The Hangover a try while in Puerto Viejo!

Bread and Chocolate is a small, all natural, bakery and cafe on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. We offer a variety of freshly baked goods, hand-made chocolate truffles, and cakes, as well as breakfast and lunch.
Although the crowd there is mainly expats and tourists, the food served is excellent and not at all standard! The quality of the dishes is exceptional, the taste just great and they really have fancy alternatives to Costa Rican classics. Try the smoothies and the coffee!

What a wonderful place to have breakfast. Beautiful selection for breakfast however the chefs and owners seemed really happy to make changes/recommendations based on our requests.
