Poseidonia (Greek: Ποσειδωνία, named after Poseidon) is a village and a former municipality on the island of Syros, in the Cyclades, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Syros-Ermoupoli, of which it is a municipal unit. The population was 3,893 inhabitants at the 2011 census, and the land area is 23.705 km². The municipal unit shares the island of Syros with the municipal units of Ano Syros and Ermoupoli. It is also known as Dellagrazia (name taken from a small church of Maria della Grazia).

Asteria beach bar is located in an excellent area, right next to the sea (you can even swim if you want). At night it's great for drinks and cocktails and it has a very romantic atmosphere with nice soft music and the calming sound of the waves.

Amazing view of Syros from the terrace of this hidden restaurant. Really worth to visit. We had incredibly tasty cheese, sausages, I loved the salad too.

My first visit coincided with a thunderstorm and once it had bated there was initially some confusion of who still needed serving. However, after a while I did get someone's attention and manage to order a traditional salad and a chocolate milkshake - the latter was amazing. You also get free water / ice with every purchase. On the return visit, it was a much warmer day so I started with a frappe (the free water and ice) and also received 2 x bite-sized custard pastries. About an hour or so later, I ordered the chicken curry wrap and you guessed it a chocolate milkshake. For the price I was totally impressed. While i'm still undecided of whether to return to stay on Syros in the future, I would seriously come back to this place again!Τhank you very much! We hope to see you again :)

Alex , Sophia and the chef Giwrgos made a great combination of an extremely pleasant gastronomic experience for five great meals out of the 8 meals we had in syros very impressed!! this is a third generation business and it is the epitomy of what a beach restaurant in a greek island would look and taste like only the tastes should belong to a high end gourmet restaurant Well done Bravo do not change a thing!!

We've been fans of Elliniko Kafeneio since it first opened, for the quality of its food, its championing of local products, original (and often healthy) takes on Syros classics, its professional service, reasonable prices for the quality of what's on offer, and location on Ermoupolis' 100-year-old main square. It was therefore the logical choice for us to host a significant birthday this week. Anna Maria and her team surpassed our expectations - the food was delicious, the service courteous and professional, and the night magical. Our family and friends are still raving about it - highly recommended, for breakfast, coffee, dinner and everything in between!

It is the 3rd time that we visit this restaurant . Super delicious homemade food prepared with premium quality ingredients. All the dishes were fresh and really tasty. Pleasant and helpful staff. Great prices as well! Strongly recommend it!
