Ordered 3 meals. Some food was hot, but some was cold. One portion of chips was tiny whilst the other was large. Some staff were nice & helpful whilst a couple were unfriendly & unhelpful. Tables needed cleaning & this was a problem to the person who was asked to clean it. It was also a problem to be given a cup for tea. Restaurant isn't bad but some staff members ruin it.

Being using waitrose cafe portishead for years,not so much since the refurbishment.Tea,Coffee ok,bacon roll minimal,and my wifes kirsh more salad than anything else,small portion sloppy at the sides.Bring back the old cafe,better food in sainsbury's

Went there for Brunch on a Saturday. Very busy which is always a good sign. Bit of a wait for our food but it was well worth it. Everything was cooked well and was hot. The fried bread is to die for! Proper hand cut bread, lovely!Will definitely be going back.Highly recommended.Thank you so much for the lovely review we are so glad you enjoyed your visit with us and look forward to seeing you again very soon x Sam and Vicki x

Stopped off at Cafemarina in Portishead yesterday for early lunch. Like this little place lots as have been several times before and itâs close to where I have one of my regular business meetings. Always tasty, always quick. Friendly staff. Parking can be difficult sometimes- but thatâs the luck of the draw and not the cafeâs fault.

Popped in for breakfast today and was very impressed. Hot, fresh and tasty bacon, sausage, fried bread, fried egg and beans, with a coffee, all for £4. Will call again.

Su runs a tight ship, quick and efficient - and she was training someone new too. Food was quickly served, tasty and slightly original takes on standard breakfast items - eg scambled egg with spinach - and free newspapers.

My friend and I often meet at Impero and usually enjoy our coffee/meal. Today we were left very disappointed. We both ordered the Super Green Salad. One with extra bacon and the other with goats cheese. When they arrived we were shocked as they were half the amount we usually have and definitely a lot less than was served to a table nearby. We ate the salad and what little we had was very nice. When our plates were collected we commented that we enjoyed the salads but were disappointed with the portion. We were told that she would talk with The Chef. We were expecting a report back. We then ordered coffee and dessert, I would have expected that we would have been offered at least our coffees on the house - but no. As were leaving, I went to ask the waitress what the chef had said. I was told that he had said that was the portion size. I pointed out that we usually have far more and looking at the other tables today, other customers were served larger portions. She then admitted that other complaints had been made and the chef would make sure that portions were more equal in future. Iâm still shocked that we werenât offered a proper apology or even a complimentary drink for paying the same for our meal and only getting half portions.Next time we meet I think we will be going elsewhere.If you want fair portions for your money, steer clear of Impero! Our dishes all have recipes with specific weights and measures that should be adhered to, though it would seem on this occasion either you were considerably under portioned or fellow guests over portioned. In order to have consistency throughout lounges all specs should be followed to the letter. I quite agree that you should have been offered a much better resolution to this situation.
