Nice place, good omelets and breakfast/lunch items. Perhaps I am naïve though expecting some sort of coffee from "café" ("café" is French for Coffee), but the only coffee at small-town restaurants (which is what this place basically is) is something that I don't consider drinkable. I am not trying to discourage anyone from stopping by here though - like I said, nice place to have breakfast/lunch when in town, even if looking at bit old/worn.

a nice "home town" small restaurant run by a local who everyone knows. It's a great place for breakfast or lunch. prices are low and food quality is high. a couple miles south of portage on highway 51. Clark might even buy you a cup of coffee, he's been known to do that many times. bob viking, portage

This family restaurant has become a stopping place when traveling through the Portage area. Nothing fancy, but good, home-cooked food is offered, from sandwiches/burgers, to full dinners. Portions are ample, so be prepared to take some home.
