We stopped at the M6 southbound Tebay service station for a meal last night. Very impressive facility. Clean, well laid out, good quality food and a farm shop to boot. Wish more service stations were like this

I was tempted by the specials board and a posh fish and chips. What arrived was more than I expected. Two fillets of perfectly cooked well seasoned sea bass fillets with tasty chips and humourlessly included pea shoots as a garnish ( with a nod to the fish chips and mushy peas). The white chocolate creme brûlée so creamy slowed down time itself to allow the brief glimpses off sun to warm my skin. Of course the bottle of Sauvignon blanc from Chile helped. Thanks for a great lunch .

As we passed through the Arcade whilst out shopping this morning we came across The Lemon Tree. We decided to pop in for some refreshments. We were given a warm welcome and found a table to be seated at. Table service, the kids ordered milkshakes all three different flavours- We were advised this was no problem. Chocolate, Strawberry and Gingerbread flavours along with two latte. They offer a good, varied menu something we will definitely partake in if we visit again. Worth a visit.

Delicious home cooked meals using locally sourced quality ingredients, daily changing specials, all day breakfasts, fresh home-baked scones, cakes and teacakes, sweet treats, milkshakes, fruit smoothies, and the very best Lavazza coffee.
We were really glad that we just managed to find a table on a busy Friday lunch time, as the food was very good. Portion sizes good and quality excellent. Service was good but a bit slow due to the amount of folk ordering at the same time but it was definitely worth the small delay.

Absolute gem of a place to eat. The best chateaubriand we've ever had, and that is a huge accolade considering our previous favourite was at our number one destination restaurant in the Italian Alps. The starter and desert were equally top quality. Well worth the drive out to this village Inn and we have already booked our next visit
