We thought long and hard about where we should go today for an excellent Sunday roast and decided it had to be Russells and we were DEFINITELY not disappointed. We both had roast lamb with mint sauce, Yorkshire puddings, crispy roast potatoes, a gorgeous selection of lovely vegetables and what tasted like home made gravy from the meat juices. Wow ... thank you once again to all the lovely smiling faces who greeted us ... we can't wait to return soon. Julie x

We went there today, we have been there before on a Sunday with out any issues, but today was something else.It was busy we except that but 50 minutes wait for our breakfast. No apology, no checking on us to see if it was OK. Even when we got our food still no apology. The food is still nice but 50 minutes come on. I am very sorry little bit late for apology as you are saying bit busy. Yes 50 minutes too late. I hope see you soon

This small café run privately only serves home cooking and no fried food. Their breakfast with poached egg is excellent and my wife has had scrambled egg and smoked salmon there -also excellentFor lunch on Thursday they do a roast meal also amongst their other offerings and I cannot fault any of the meals I have had.Friendly atmosphere and well worth a visit.

I struggle with a restaurant claiming they have gluten free options but not stocking any gluten free bread. Yes, they had gluten free brownie and caramel shortbread but I didnât want cake for breakfast... I had a coffee and left.... such a shame as it is a gorgeous venue.

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday. Greeted with indifference. Sat at table and determine our choice. Went to counter to order but told they would take order. Order taken with minimum interaction. Jacket potato was good. Tea too. Sat near toilet door as only free table. Also appeared to be the access door for storage and for staff to go outside I assume for a gag. Constant traffic for all purposes so avoid that table if you visit. Could see staff whispering about customers and witnessed many an eye roll. Got the impression we were all considered an inconvenience. Paid our bill. Still no friendly manner. Or expression they would like you to come back. Odd atmosphere. Could see they did nice cake though so I might give them a second chance.

We have been to this cafe many a time, but on this visit whilst the food was it's usual very nice and the staff are always friendly unfortunately the cups and knives and forks where not very clean as we had to ask for clean ones, it is a shame really as it is so simple to check before giving them to people no matter how busy you are there is no excuse for not washing things properly and puts people off going in there. I know we do not live there but we are down there quite often as we have relative's who live in Selsey so come and vistcthe cafe often..

Had afternoon tea with Daughters and G.daughter as treat for Mother's Day and daughters birthday. I can not recommend this place highly enough.Everything was home made, service was excellent and Staff/Owners were so friendly, nothing was too much even phoning half an hour before our booked time to add another person to our table.Well worth a visit you won't regret it.What a wonderful review, thank you so much for taking the time to write it - it was a pleasure to help make the day something special. Please come and see us again soonGlynis and the Team x
