Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Padstow. Walking is a way of life in the picturesque Cornwall town of Padstow. The South West Coast Path—which, at 630 miles, is Britain’s longest footpath—stretches along the coast and, via ferry, across the River Carmel. The former fishing port is today a hub of fine wining and dining. Lose yourself in the Lost Gardens of Heligan, a fairyland of heirloom flowers, or go back to the future at the Eden Project, a horticultural wonderland housed inside dramatic biodomes.

Padstow has a reputation as a food town and mostly this revolves around the establishments of a celebrity chef. Now, I have eaten at his restaurants and they are very good and serve excellent food. However there is more to the town than the globe trotting celebrity.I would recommend the restaurant at the Metropole, the food is on a par with other high end restaurants in the town and the views from the restaurant are wonderful.

Me and my family were welcomed by a lovely friendly waitress and enjoyed a delicious breakfast but when it came to settling our bill, the chef could be heard belittling the waitress and made her re-do the bill with us (all over 1 piece of toast!). The poor lady looked uncomfortable and even after we explained everything again with her the chef then came charging out to us and told us we were to pay for extra mushrooms and extra toast and extra coffee even though we had already sorted this with the waitress. We feel so sorry for the waitress, we won't be returning..

Enjoy delicious food, crafted by hand. There's a mix of classic favourites and dishes with a twist as well as specials with stunning, seasonal ingredients (look out for our locally caught fish). Treviskerâs is one of two sister venues run by me, Henk de V
I love the setting. I love the staff. The food is fabulous but oh why oh why when you are in Cornwallwith an abundance of amazing fresh fish is it just hake. Fishcakes..hake....curry...hake....fish and chips...hake. It honestly became very funny. I will eat with you again...when you get your menu sorted and please change the hake.

Find us on your way to Padstow. Come and enjoy lovely home made food in a modern, friendly environment. There's a mix of classic favourites and dishes with a twist. Trevisker's is perfect for catching up with friends over coffee, a hearty breakfast or sea
Really enjoyed the Sunday Lunch Carvery. Three choices of meats all well cooked juicy and tasty. There was a great choice of vegetables plus extras like sausages and batter pudding. In fact everything you could want for in a Sunday Roast. The only downside is that because it's so good and popular it's gets very crowded especially around the 12 o'clock rush. If you don't mind that you will have a great meal.

Licenced cafe with homemade cakes and fabulous views of the estuary and harbour. Open all year round
If you walk from the main car park round the harbour you will find a path leading up to a headland and the war memorial. This is a lovely walk. However before you start up that path you will see a terrace with steps where you will find Greens. We had lunch on the terrace and enjoyed the sunshine and the view over the river to Rock. Service was good. I had a grilled mackerel which was delicious and the man had a burger with cheese and bacon which he rated.

With fresh fish landed right here on our doorstep, our café creates simple seafood dishes with imaginative flavours. Our menu changes daily with influences from afar including dishes such as pad Thai noodles, salt and pepper prawns and cod curry. Breakfas
Took my friend who I trained as a cook with 40 years ago! I was apprehensive but there was no need. Good food with great service from a Polish manager. Luckily it was a Monday so half empty and so we got a table easily. What a treat at a good price.

Berryfields Tea Rooms
Very pretty and very clean. Without doubt the best (not just one of) cream teas in Cornwall home made, lots of and served beautifully on pretty china. Lots of other scummy food on the menu from huge breakfast to snack all served by friendly, smiling staff. There is also a holiday park which, apart from the badly designed small, noisy, coin operated showers is very clean, tidy and well laid out. Lots of lovely cliff and beach walks in a quiet beautiful location . Looking forward to returning many more times

Finally visited here during our holiday and can totally see what all the fuss is about. Busy, buzzing, cosy atmosphere and quite simply the most delicious breakfast Iâve ever had! My husband says it was his best too and heâs even older than me! And REALLY fussy! The hash browns were heavenly! And what a great price too! Spot on. Well done to Ben and all the staff!
