Itâs nice to see something different in Horbury which is a lovely little town with some excellent independent shops and should be supported or weâll loose the facilities. Very clean cosmopolitan cafe with excellent decor and a lovely outside space on a clean newly refurbished paved area, wicker style tables and chairs with a well maintained barrier between the cafe area and the pavement. Great to sit and watch the world go by with a well prepared drink. Excellent snack and light lunch menu with plenty of choice from traditional to fresh fruits and yogurt will definitely come again.
70âs themed cafe serving traditional breakfast and lunches, all freshly cooked. Afternoon teas (at least 24hr notice please). Classic car storage.
A gift from my mother in law.First visit and on arrival it's a little underwhelming, however on entering you are transported back to the 70s as it's decor and furnishings recreate the period.Very accomodating, and afternoon tea was fabulous, all home made and again very ,70s, great quality sandwiches with tasty fillings, even cheese and pickle on sticks which raised a smile. Beautiful baking and pastry selection, will be trying again for main menu and hopefully a speciality night.

I have had very tasty coffee, cakes and sandwiches at The Black Olive many times before, but recently I used their outside catering service and it was excellent!! The food was delicious and the service exceptional. The food was delivered, plates were provided and the whole process was so easy! The menu is extensive and I would highly recommend for any event large or small

A hidden gem of an eaterie! Please note we are only open during the daytime throughout January 2016
Nice attentive staff and competitive pricing, generous portions of a good standard of food explains why the Gallery has the number 1 spot in Heckmondwike. There is a car park round the back and one at the front with free parking for 2 hours.

What a lovely cafe the Wellgate is. It's in the town centre and hidden up a small alleyway. The breakfast we had was excellent and less than £5 a person I don't know how they do it. The staff are so helpful I can't praise them enough it's a must visit if you go to Ossett you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful hand made burgers and a brisket sandwich. Really well put together food. As a cafe setting this establishment is well on par with the better quality eateries and is worth a visit. The interior is comfortable. Seems a little unusual being part of Wakefield One, the council's HQ. Or perhaps really convenient. In any event, recommend.

Welcome to the cafe at the National Coal Mining Museum. The Museum's cafe is open 9 am to 5pm every day. Why not call in for delicious, locally-sourced, freshly-cooked food, gorgeous cakes and a hot or cold drink with a range of specials on offer each day
We came in for some food. The scone was ok if a bit dry but the sausage in a roll was good. Tea and coffee was ok too.

Taste Buds @ the station is a modern independent coffee shop located in the architecturally wonderful Wakefield Kirkgate station. We pride ourselves in serving quality food and drink. Our coffees are hand crafted by our brilliant baristas and everything a
Well itâs not often that I use Wakefield Kirkgate Station but when I do I will get there early !!!This cafe is the absolute best cafe that I have eaten at in sometime. I've been here on several occasions previously, though albeit not for a year or so. On a rare day off, I decided to treat my wife to lunch as we'd always enjoyed going there in the past (it's the other side of Wakefield to where we live, so a visit necessitates a 16-mile round trip). We arrived today to find the place not too busy, so were seated immediately by a pleasant young lady. The table we sat at initially was very tatty, and we were in a corner, so we moved to a more central position. As I approached the counter to order, a man walked back to his table and the young lady at the counter held out an outstretched palm towards me (which I consider rude in itself), saying "Just a minute. I'm still serving that gentleman". I let that go without comment and ordered our food. The lady became more civil from that point on, and, to her credit, checked with me about my needs when I asked for gluten free bread. Now, I probably wouldn't have mentioned the above, thinking that I was being a bit over-sensitive and out of touch, if the meals had been great (as they had always been on previous visits), but when they came, both looked pitifully small when it's noted that they cost approximately £10 each. Also, my plate was cold, so what food there was did not stay very warm. I like to be as fair and honest as possible in my reviews. If I have any issues, I always raise them with the staff at the time of my visit to give them the opportunity to address my concerns. In other words, I don't pretend that everything is fine, then vent my spleen on Trip Advisor. So, when a very nice waitress came to clear our table and asked if everything had been okay, we politely told her what we thought. i.e. That the portions served did not reflect value for money. She was very understanding and went to speak to the chef, returning shortly afterwards to inform us that the chef had stated that "the portions have always been the same size" (though a cursory glance around showed that other diners had much larger amounts on their plates, and my wife had had the same meal previously - open steak sandwich, and where before she had had it on a large teacake, now it was on a small slice of bread). The inference was that we were simply awkward customers. Well, chef, you may be right or you may not, but I wish I'd taken a photo now of my gluten free pastrami sandwich as evidence. So, I'm afraid the only people we were at all impressed with were the lady who originally seated us and the waitress who spoke to the chef. I really don't like putting less than positive reviews on this site, but the response of the powers-that-be at the Seed Room was very disappointing.

Bear Kitchen. Fast Food with Attitude. Honest, ethical and quality fast food We have a small number of eat in-tables available, as well as an extensive takeaway menu that is available to collect or be delivered (through the Deliveree app).
Ordered a takeaway from here last night and I was really disappointed with what we got. We ordered the vegan nachos as my friend is veggie, these were really soggy and not a good portion size for £8. We both ordered a kebab, me the Americana and her the Mexican one. My American one was nice, I paid extra for chicken and got loads. I also paid extra for haloumi and got one piece, I wasnât really impressed with that as I expected at least three pieces. I wouldnât pay the price I did for just one piece of haloumi. My friend paid for extra falafel on her kebab, but this was missing when it arrived. She also paid extra for haloumi and just got one piece. The bread that the kebab was in was dry and tasteless. Read lots of good reviews about burgers and ribs, so maybe thatâs where we went wrong and should have ordered a burger.
