Probably the best cuppa in Orford. Worth the stop to stretch legs and sit in the sun. the walk around the Orford inlet is also a good option.

The service doesn't match the outside of this small town cafe. We arrived at 11.05 for breakfast (which finished at 11am). The place was empty, and we were refused breakfast, because it finished 5mins earlier, in a very rude manner.Very Unfriendly and rude service followed by bad coffee.Definitely skip this place and continue up to Swansea.
We ordered takeaway salads to take on our boat trip to Maria Island as there is nowhere to buy food there. The chicken salad was tasty with a generous serving, but was given to me in large styrofoam fish and chip containers that did not seal well. Two of these large containers take up a lot of room in a bag so were difficult to carry and of course the salads were rather jumbled and leaking by lunch time. I think it would be better to pack them in the usual rectangular clear plastic containers with fitting lids to overcome that problem. Make sure you order your food the afternoon before so it can be ready for you to pick up first thing in the morning on your way to the boat jetty if you are taking the ferry to Maria Island.
