Architecture buffs will be well acquainted with Oak Park, once the home of Frank Lloyd Wright, where he designed and built some of his earliest buildings. Unity Temple, the Nathan G. Moore House and Wright's own former home and studio are among the many Wright buildings still preserved in the village, while buildings such as the Cheney Mansion were designed by his students. Wow!! Wow again!! Bright. Elegant. Simple. Excellent! Adjectives to explain not only the experience, but the food and ambience! What a great menu from the brilliant minds of Christiana and Andre; doing their thing in downtown Oak Park! For those that don't know they were in South Oak Park as Taste of Brasil, which was great. And now - they're back again...Simple fare with International flair, they do not disappoint with this offering. I stopped in on an early Friday afternoon and the line was out the door! From espresso to brewed coffees to cold brews and iced coffees + food, you won't go wrong. I went out on a limb and tried an iced muchata - excellent. So if you find yourself at the Southeast corner of Oak Park Avenue and Lake in downtown Oak Park - go in and experience it for yourself!

Needing an afternoon expresso and dessert, Eastgate is your place. Elegant, small, has music each week. The new dessert is a Smore Chocolate. Two marshmallow's sit on a crusted chocolate base. Great stuff and good expresso, as well. The combo soup and half sandwich is really good. Get the lobster bisque. Consistently great.

Since 1999, Lula has served locally sourced creative cuisine in a relaxed cafe setting from Chef Jason Hammel.
I have been a fan of Lula for many years. Finally, I write a review. This is one of Chicago's best. Great atmosphere, casual, yet professional service. The food is the reason to come. They have many staples that are long standing menu items like the pasta yia yia or the tangine. Mix in a daily menu with the freshest of ingredients and it makes for a tough decision what to eat. Very veggie friendly, if that is your thing. Also, great fish and meat selections. The outdoor patio allows you to watch the Logan square locals do their thing. A must dining choice in Chicago.

A reunion with friends during a visit to the Chicago area. Deliaâs was the top rated breakfast spot in Oak Park & Forest Park and lived up to that billing.Very friendly staff that kept our coffee cups and water glasses full. Generous portions of very tasty breakfast plates. I would highly encourage a visit.
