Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Northern Portugal. Brimming with both history and natural wonder, Northern Portugal is home to Porto, the city that gave the country its name, as well as the important ancient town of Braga. Also here is Peneda-Gerês, Portugal’s only national park, a gorgeous wilderness area of mountains, gorges, water features and wildlife. Many picturesque villages and manor houses dot the countryside. Two areas are UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Alto Douro Wine Region, and the Paleolithic rock art in the Côa Valley.

Northern simplicity and tasty food. Terrace and fireplace. Cozy vibes only
So good that we are here a number of times in a 5 day break in Porto. The food was absolutely outstanding - fresh, tasty and huge portions. You wonât need lunch. The service was great really friendly but also dead honest. Our waitress told us not to order more toast based on the size of the portions which was really customer focused. The other thing that will surprise UK and US customers is that the space could have had at least in another 5 or 6 tables crammed in to maximise profit but this would have compromised what is a lovely light and airy space. Do Norte is busy so unless you come really early you can expect a small wait but trust me it is absolutely worth it

Small & cozy place to have a generous and tasty breakfast or brunch and also rent a bicycle! The concept is simple - Northern simplicity charm with a breeze of Atlantic, woody & airy, stuffed with handcrafted furniture & good old music, great food adorned
After eating you will need to bike a few miles The food is not only plentiful but absolutely wonderful. Itâs healthy and they have many options for those who are GF, lactose intolerant and vegan. It was one of the few places to offer alternative âmilkâ and I loved the ginger latte. Itâs small and gets crowded so try to get there early!

REAL FOOD FIRST ⢠no additives ⢠no refined ingredients ⢠from farm to table ⢠enjoy, eat & share! #nolakitchenporto
The food is healthy, the meals are well presented and the amounts are generous. I absolutely recommend you this place if you are looking for some healthy and elaborated options. Many vegetarian possibilities. Coffee is fantastic and have soy milk. I had a bowl with guacamole, sweet potato and tomato and a cappuccino. There were so many options (even gluten free) and all of them seemed fantastic!
