A nice wee cafe situated in the business park on the way to the MOT and driving test centre. Serves breakfast, lunch and tea /coffee etc If you have to wait for a test or just need a snack its a nice wee place to call in to.
Mauds ice cream is still a good brand though years ago they used to make a bigger range of flavours, making the choice of what deliciousness to have rather difficult. There were also more shops selling the brand.Mauds in Newtownards is one of the few left where you can treat yourself to the old traditional flavours, and you should not miss the opportunity if you find yourself anywhere near.

Called in with a friend for lunch etc before visiting a friend who had operation. Given a seat that we wanted. Omelettes are great along with coffee. Service very good. It is good they employ the disabled as Daisy's cafe before it closed. Drawback will be parking as they are putting in paid parking with barriers which means only people going to the hospital will use it. Keep up the good work.

We decided to try out the afternoon tea here today. The seats are comfortable, papers to read, nice place. We were given a choice of sandwiches, and scone, then told we could choose one tray bake each. This confused us, as it states 'selection of cakes' on the blackboard describing what you get. I requested cake instead, and this was met with an unhappy stare, and a reluctant agreement. 'Just this once' was the comment, ungracefully. When I suggested changing the description on the blackboard, a fixed grin was my answer, suggesting to me she thought 'not really your business'. Anyway, when it came, the sandwiches were fresh and delicious, but the scones and cake were rather dry. The coffee was good. We were given enough jam for one half of one of our scones at the bottom of a small glass ramekin, so I asked for more. I was told they 'had given us as much as they could as they had run out' Mmm.... So we looked at each other and eventually she said that she would send someone out for some. 'Great', I said As you can imagine, we'll not be rushing back. Such a shame, because we really enjoyed being in the actual cafe. But the attitude of the member of staff dealing with us ruined it.

This has been taken over recently. Gone is the friendly atmosphere. Not a very nice place to be now as the new owner is constantly watching the staff, putting them on edge and not allowing their personalities to shine through. Dawn and Nicole have both gone and with them goes the experience. Food isn't as good as it was. Used to be my regular when Paul had it but I will be going elsewhere from now on.

First time here and it was really nice although very casual cafe style restaurant especially at the time I was there 4.30 - 6.30. Good choice on the menus and alcohol available to purchase too. Staff attentive and friendly. Four stars only because it was a bit too family friendly ie screaming babies. However it was early and people with screaming babies need a life too.

This is where the locals eat! The fantastic selection of food, the old world charm and ambiance, listening to the friendly locals greeting each other and us, the friendly and efficient staff. Eat in or grab some food to go - Your choice. We ate there most mornings and were never disappointed. We wanted to put this place in our cases and bring it home.
