Things to do in Newton Le Willows
I had heard good words of this place from friends and colleagues and intended for months to make my own mind up. I eventually got there, with my wife, for brunch today. I was delighted that, because the local market was not on today, I could easily park, for free, nearby. Malones looks very fresh and is eclectically furnished, for instance by clocks on the wall all showing different times. It is owned/ run by a young lady named Francesca, who was on hand to prepare our order. The menu is basically in two parts. Firstly, breakfast. You can either choose one or two set options, or build your own. Plenty of black- puddings on offer, but I , personally, would like to see, fried bread and hash browns on offer. The other part of the menu is more geared towards dinner, with toasties, panini and the like. I chose a club toastie which came promptly, and consisted of chunks of chicken, bacon, lettuce tomato and side of salad and crisps. My wife chose a similar cheese toastie, which she described as â two- toneâ cheese. Both were very tasty and hit the spot. We had a very avant- garden teapot with tea in IKEA cups, also very palatable. There seem to be many cafes in a very mall area near to Malones, so it has to be special to stand out and succeed. With its quirky decor, basic menu but well- executed, friendly staff, prompt service and very reasonable prices, I think and hope it will go from strength to strength. I will certainly pass the word on and visit again to support such a nice venue

I regularly visit Reds cafe with friends for a chat. I love the comfy sofa in the window and this my favourite place to sit! The staff are friendly and service is quick. I love the jacket potatoes or the tuna melt panini and the home cooked chips are to die for! Delicious!!! The large latte is very generous in size and great value for money, would recommend! (But please save me the sofa!)

We just can't keep away from here, becoming regulars. The food, whether it be high tea, curry, breakfast, scones or cake is top notch. Everything is good quality at a very reasonable price - love it!

A local, family run cafe creating home cooked hot and cold food to eat in or take away.
We visited Bettyâs Bistro on our quest for breakfast and we found that it is cheaper than the local Wetherspoons. If youâre a fan of an English breakfast, you can choose what you want on a five/ten/or fifteen item meal. I found this to be better than having a set menu as I donât really like mushrooms, so they wonât go to waste! Thanks for your kind review! Iâm glad you like our unique way of creating your own breakfast. Hope to see you again soon.

We are a traditional victorian Tearooms serving authentic tea with old fashioned home cooked English meals. You will feel as though you have stepped back in time when you walk in Lily's
Been to this cafe/restaurant several times now mostly for breakfast, great little place to eat with friendly staff and good old home made food. Nice cup of loose tea to go with your breakfast. had lunch there a couple of times also nice homemade chips. In short well worth a visit.

A cafe in Newton Le Willows under new ownership since April 2019Iâve been in several times and itâs undergone a bit of ârefreshingâ under the care of the two new lady owners Food and service is really good - always welcomed with a smile and the prices are reasonableOne slight downside it could be open more - longer hours and Sunday and Monday Thank you for your review. Glad you like the changes we've made, more to come over the next couple of months. Keep an eye out!!We have extended the opening hours by serving food until (2.30pm was previously 1.30pm and staying open until 4pm (was 2.30pm previously). Up until now there has just been the two of us, whilst we settle in, with a bit of help extra help from 2 young students at peak times. We have looked at opening on Sunday and/or Monday but footfall is slow on the High Street on a Monday and that is our baking day!!! Which leaves us with a day off on a Sunday. We are looking at the possibility of recruiting a 3rd team member which would give us more flexibility and perhaps the opportunity to open for Brunch on a Sunday. So you never know Regards Lexie and Sue
