We visited today for a drink while shopping in Tesco. It was very quiet, however about 1245 all the school kids piled in, so pick your time carefully!Got a doughnut which was really poor. The soft drinks had free refills though which is good.Very clean cafe.

Lunch with friends; great food and fantastic value. Obviously very popular with locals, who popped in for take- aways, as well as meals.Basic decor / seating: a great place for a nice lunch but not the place for a fancy meal.Seating rather uncomfortable for anybody with mobility / disabilty issues, but staff very friendly and accomodating.Excellent for veggies; not so good for meat eaters! Highly recommended. Lovely place.

A local cafe with a family friendly atmosphere.serving everything from all day breakfast, baked potatoes, paninis, steaks, pasta, homemade soup, scottish dishes and more.where you get large portions that is value for money.clean and children friendly.
After the Edinburgh half-marathon, me and some family wanted somewhere to eat, knowing that Musselburgh would be crammed with other runners and visitors. Despite that, we went in here and it was ideal. No-frills, surprisingly extensive menu, and fantastic service - despite the rush of people from the marathon, the young staff were all doing a fantastic job! If you want somewhere modern, serving flat whites and avocado on toast, this is the wrong cafe - if you want a bit of old-fashioned UK cafe style, then you could do worse than here.

Having researched the North Berwick area on Tripadvisor for a light lunch this was the establishment that seemed to stand out. A short drive from the main town situated near Drem we found this lovely eatery. It is only small and seemed quite popular but once you taste the freshly cooked food, especially the quiches you can understand why. The food was delicious, the service good and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We felt that we had value for money and we could not find any negative aspects. All good and we would recommend.

Ate here prior to us catching the film Peterloo. Verdict? Lovely staff, it does not stint on the size of the portions and the prices are very competitive. My Stornoway black pudding starter was delicious. My fish goujons were hot and crisp although a tad on the dry side but that's me nit picking. Other members of the party had crab and salmon fish cakes, a starter by the way but sufficient as a main and voted lovely. Others had the burger which was very good as was the stroganoff. If we plan to visit the Brunton again we'd certainly consider eating there. Can really recommend.Hello AustinFirstly apologies for the late response, for some reason I was blocked from respondingon trip advisor, however, I'm up and running again. Many thanks for taking the time to share your comments, I shall share with both our chefs andthe front of house team.We look forward to welcoming you back in the future, can I suggest that you reserve your tablein advance to avoid disappointment. When we have two shows on, one in the theatre and the other in venue one, we find that we are fully booked really quickly.Kind regardsZandra Borthwick

Small café serving homemade food from breakfast, soups, lasagne, toasties, baked potatoes pies and cake!
In Musselburgh with my 20 year old son today and we were starving and this wonderful cafe was first place we came across so nipped in...so glad we did. We both had soup and a toastie with a soft drink then I ordered tea and the carrot and walnut cake(love a homemade cake) which was soo delicious and fresh. Staff were wonderful and looks like the type of cafe you would want to work in. Cafe was full and everyone in there were all relaxed and really enjoyed themselves as lovely welcoming feel about the place. If back in Musselburgh I wil definitely be back. Prices were really good...very impressed.
