The Breakfast Club

Had Sunday brunch here with the family including two little ones 2 and 3 months. Extensive menu with anything you might want to eat on it. Huckleberrry pancakes, yum. It is a huge restaurant divided up into many rooms and the service is great! This is important when you have kids with you. They give you crayons and paper so the kids have something to do even though the service is lightening fast. If I lived here I would come back over an over again. Rated very highly. Enjoy!

Bucer's Coffee House Pub

We went to Moscow to visit U of I and found this gem. Good beer. Good coffee. Outstanding atmosphere: wood furnishing, brick walls, floor to ceiling bookshelves, cozy nooks and back rooms. A big, solid, antique communal table. People chatting, reading, using the Wi-fi. Well behaved kids in strollers. Friendly college kids who weren't too full of themselves. Quietly laughing middle-aged friends. A bookworm's heaven. Might be my favorite coffee shop since I left Amsterdam 25 years ago. We went there three out of three evenings we were in town, before or after dinner.

I had a great burger and fries today for lunch. There are other great options besides burgers. They have espresso, coffee, smoothies, frozen yogurt, pitas, donuts, breakfast sandwiches, and many other things. You can call in orders to go or stay and enjoy the atmosphere and large screen tv.
