Biscottini Cafe Bar Restaurant
3.6Nice place. Met our needs well. Food was good. Service was good. Pleasant spot to sit as well. Good number of indoor and outdoor tables here. Love a booth with soft seats as well. We were served quickly and efficiently. Reasonable menu here. Good toastie options which piqued our interest. My berry smoothie was ok. It needed a little sweetening but was otherwise good. I selected the chargrilled vegetable toastie. This included eggplant, zucchini, roasted peppers, sun dried tomatoes, pesto and tasty cheese in a focaccia. Good toastie this one. Good veggies flavour and cooked well. Particularly the zucchini which had been marinated or pickled then shredded. A lovely combination all round. The Reuben was misspelt on the menu but there were no errors with the toastie itself. It was made very well. Plenty of meat with good flavour coming from the sauerkraut and pickle. Nice rye bread as well. There was a nice little salad on each plate which we thought was terrific. With a nice dressing as well. Good touch.Service was absolutely fine here. None of the stuff I read in some of the earlier reviews was evident. Some of the earlier negative reviews looked a bit sus to me. Like, not reliable. This was a good honest place for lunch. We would happily return.

A fine dining cafe encouraging the use of seasonal and local produce. A luxury spin on the typical brunch dining experience.
Stopped here for lunch with a friend. Unfortunately not the experience we hoped for. The atmosphere however is redeeming. A nice clean open light space. Friendly staff on entering. Comfortable tables and seating. A nice peek a view of a slightly open kitchen. Just don't use the bathroom. Single toilet crammed in down the back with dry urine on the seat. Clearly hasn't had a clean in a while. Gross! Leaves the rest of the interior efforts wanting. The menu was yet another disappointment. Very little variety and hefty cafe prices for not much reward. Giving in, I opted for simple eggs on toast. The presentation of the food is quite lovely. Plating is done well. But sadly food is inconsistently cooked. Tucking in I found one egg to be on the side of underdone. Not being shy for a raw-ish egg I tucked in (Luckily I'm not the precious kind of pregnant at the moment that I have a hissy over underdone eggs). Finishing this I began on the other egg- over cooked and dry/crumbly. How does that happen? Did my eggs get cooked alongside another patrons dish leaving one behind in the pan? A simple poaching should see consistency. When the most simple dish on the menu can't be executed well, I thank my stars I didn't venture into one of the more fancied up options. It would have been a poor investment with little satisfaction. There was also little menu choice for anyone who eats meat. That's ok, if that's what you market for, but personally I found the menu to be confused. I can however praise my lime milkshake. It was refreshing.

A great cafe` to visit in the Mornington Power Centre. We pop down here for a coffee regularly and I have to say they have the best coffee around. All their meals are reasonably priced and the service is always outstanding. Dine inside or outside, my experience has always been good. Visited yesterday with a friend and she was impressed with the quality of food and the menu had a good choice of light healthy meals as well as generous portions for other choices, equally delicious. Definitely will return here for more than just a coffee again.

Food was lovely, we had a falafel salad and a Buddha bowl with chicken and a side of chips. All the food was great. Generous sized servings with very attractive presentation. Flavours were perfect. The chips could have been cooked a little more Only thing that let this place down was the wait. 40 minutes from sitting down to service. :( this is always accentuated when you are hungry. But this place is good if you want a great street ambiance.

Came for breakfast with a friend, was nice and quick service, but just be warned there is a credit card surcharge and ALSO a surcharge for dining on a Sunday... I donât mind paying a public holiday surcharge but for a regular Sunday it makes me think the owners are a bit money hungry.

Just went in to order a latte at counter. The barista so impatient like i was interrupting her day. She was not friendly, happy or welcoming at all. The young man out on the floor however was attentive, and the interior is pretty and quirky. Coffee was weak and only luke warm. The worst coffee Ive had in Mornington and ive now tried 5 cafes in Mornington and this one was the worst.I Wont be back.Hey Corinne,Thanks for taking the time to visit and leave your comments. I'm sorry to read you didn't have the best experience, we've always been very consistent with our coffee and always hope to produce a great product.I'd like to let you know we've changed our coffee beans since your visit too and would love to have you back to try. I received a birthday dinner offer from The Winey Cow recently. Usually we have breakfast or brunch and the food is lovely. This is the first time we had dinner there. A small selection on menu, more like a casual light dinner menu... they have small and large plates... just an idea they have a beautiful scotch fillet steak with delicious mushrooms and polenta chips (which we both had and loved), Japanese wonton style ramen soup... etc.. we also had their soft shelled crab and slaw bao with spicy French fries, a special dish for last night. We shared that followed by a steak each and ordered a Balinese salad to share. The staff are very friend and helpful. Nice ambience in the cafe... and also fully licensed. We will definitely go back there for dinner...

Tucked away nicely at the back of Empire St Mall just off the main Mornington drag is this amazing café find. Includes a serious library of mostly cook-books. Genuinely friendly and helpful service, creative menu, coffees delivered before you can blink, great ambience and a very pleasant location â what more could you want? Oh, and convenient carparking â right next to a council carpark. Thereâs plenty of feed places in Mornington â and we have tried most of them over the years. This one takes the cake â and even gives it to you with your coffee. A very pleasant experience. You can do a lot worse than this.

This 2 story cafe / restaurant is a hive of activity. The staff are genuinely attentive and quick to serve. They check in regularly and having the beverages station in the middle, means it adds a bit of excitement to your visit. Being able to see into the kitchen and watch the chefs - bless - working really hard and fast makes you appreciate the work that goes into the dishes served. The portions are very generous and expect the add-ons to be generous too. The teas and coffee were a high standard. The breakfast corn fritters came in a large portion and the relish accompanying them was yum! Well worth a visit and then a wander down to the beach after. There is also a great public library close by too. Thanks so much for leaving this great review. We really appreciate you taking the time to write this. We pride ourselves on great customer service and strive to make a comfortable atmosphere for our guests. We hope to see you again soon,John and Team Boyz.
