We met up with friends recently at the Sleepy Bee Cafe and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The menu was diverse - especially for a vegetarian in our group - and we like the fact items are locally sourced. Our waiter was extremely attentive and the food was delicious. We would absolutely recommend the Sleepy Bee Cafe. Hi, thanks so much for taking the time to write a review! We really appreciate it. We look forward to serving you again soon :) - Alexis, SBC Community Liaison

Visited this little restaurant for lunch. It is only open limited hours (breakfast and lunch till 2:30 pm). The menu is interesting with "regular", vegetarian and vegan options. I love that the ingredients are locally sourced and/or made in-house. I had a toasted sandwich with "My Thai" hummus which was really delicious. The spicy hummus had a good texture and complemented the lightly toasted sandwich. I plan to return to try other dishes and other hummus flavors (there are several). Service is very friendly and prices are reasonable. There are tables and counter stools inside and a few tables outside. Note for moms - you might want to bring your own high chair or booster seat as the restaurant doesn't provide any.

We decided to try some place new and this little cafe caught our eye. In downtown Montgomery, there is limited seating inside, and more outside on the sidewalk for sunny days. The inside had a "diner" feel to it. Pleasant, comfortable, not stuffy. Every flavor of Torani decorated the wall. Coffee to go also available. Brick walls, refinished old floors, comfortable atmosphere.Menus were at the tables. The waitress was pleasant and took our order right away. Our chicken gyros arrived shortly with a side of potato chips. The gyro was bursting with sliced chicken breast. A little greasy, but certainly plentiful. Unfortunately, the lettuce was boring iceburg, and the tomato had lived way past its prime. Sauce ok, but not very flavorful compared to that served in other gyro places. Our drinks were refilled regularly without asking, a nice service touch. There were many other things on the menu to try, so we might try this little place again. But, unfortunately, there wouldn't be a real reason to go unless wanting a cup of coffee with a flavor of Torani we hadn't tried!
