We came in for some food. The scone was ok if a bit dry but the sausage in a roll was good. Tea and coffee was ok too.

Beautiful cafe set within a victorian arcade in the centre of Huddersfield, very close to the train station. Serving breakfast, all day brunch and a selection of seasonal light lunches. Menu rotates regularly, local suppliers are used and everything is ho

This is an unassuming cafe with a milkshake bar next door. The menu is varied with all the hot food you would expect to see. I had the steak pie special with mash, peas and gravy. It was a huge portion with plenty of nice quality steak. Coffee was good too. Prices are reasonable.

A nice little place with good coffee and cake. I didnât give 5* as it wasnât anything special. The chocolate brownie was nice, but a little dry. The iced frappe was again nice but was half foam, half milk. It also didnât have any ice in which meant it wasnât that cold. Would go again if passing but wouldnât go out of my way to visit. Hi, Thank you for your feedback - it's great to hear about how we can improve! We hope to see you again soon. The Cupushi Team

Well we were wondering where to go yesterday (Monday 17/12/2018) afternoon for a coffee and perhaps a snack when we decided this would be a good place to go.Initially we thought oops! as they are serving Christmas dinners with people sitting with their crackers and hats on and we assumed that we were going to be unlucky for that snack. Well we were so wrong as we were welcomed in and given a table by the window. The menu arrived and everything was on as normal. As luck would have it their sausage sandwiches were not sold out (these can be in the afternoon) so we both ordered one. To say the sausages are good here would be an understatement as they are fantastic and if you get the opportunity get in and enjoy (before they are sold out). Alternatively they are also renowned for their bacon or even better why not ask for something with eggs as this is the place to come and buy your fresh eggs rather than the supermarket. Anyway enough of me going on this is a family run business and they give excellent service as we again found out yesterday. We ordered a portion of sticky toffee pudding and custard to share as we thought why not itâs Christmas. Unfortunately when my wife started eating it the pudding was on the hard side and had a lack of sticky toffee. We brought it to the attention of (sorry I donât know your name) one of the guys serving who I believe is one of the family members and without hesitation he took the plate away apologising as he went. He returned with a new portion along with fresh custard and it tasted like a dream come true. On thinking about it, perhaps the first portion might have been the last piece of an earlier pudding and the second potion was perhaps the first segment of a new one. The bit Iâm trying to get at, is that this is not the norm here and was a one off, being resolved to everyoneâs satisfaction without issue and you canât ask for anymore than that.So if you are passing through the Hightown/Liversedge area just off of Halifax Road, be sure to pop in as Iâm positive they will make you welcome (even if they are doing Christmas dinners :) )Well done to the staff and thanks for everything.Merry Christmas The Pattersonâs

I've been here on several occasions previously, though albeit not for a year or so. On a rare day off, I decided to treat my wife to lunch as we'd always enjoyed going there in the past (it's the other side of Wakefield to where we live, so a visit necessitates a 16-mile round trip). We arrived today to find the place not too busy, so were seated immediately by a pleasant young lady. The table we sat at initially was very tatty, and we were in a corner, so we moved to a more central position. As I approached the counter to order, a man walked back to his table and the young lady at the counter held out an outstretched palm towards me (which I consider rude in itself), saying "Just a minute. I'm still serving that gentleman". I let that go without comment and ordered our food. The lady became more civil from that point on, and, to her credit, checked with me about my needs when I asked for gluten free bread. Now, I probably wouldn't have mentioned the above, thinking that I was being a bit over-sensitive and out of touch, if the meals had been great (as they had always been on previous visits), but when they came, both looked pitifully small when it's noted that they cost approximately £10 each. Also, my plate was cold, so what food there was did not stay very warm. I like to be as fair and honest as possible in my reviews. If I have any issues, I always raise them with the staff at the time of my visit to give them the opportunity to address my concerns. In other words, I don't pretend that everything is fine, then vent my spleen on Trip Advisor. So, when a very nice waitress came to clear our table and asked if everything had been okay, we politely told her what we thought. i.e. That the portions served did not reflect value for money. She was very understanding and went to speak to the chef, returning shortly afterwards to inform us that the chef had stated that "the portions have always been the same size" (though a cursory glance around showed that other diners had much larger amounts on their plates, and my wife had had the same meal previously - open steak sandwich, and where before she had had it on a large teacake, now it was on a small slice of bread). The inference was that we were simply awkward customers. Well, chef, you may be right or you may not, but I wish I'd taken a photo now of my gluten free pastrami sandwich as evidence. So, I'm afraid the only people we were at all impressed with were the lady who originally seated us and the waitress who spoke to the chef. I really don't like putting less than positive reviews on this site, but the response of the powers-that-be at the Seed Room was very disappointing.

Wow this place was well worth a visit- the pizzas and burgers are absolutely gorgeous and an absolute bargain on Thursdays where you can get all you can eat pizza, or a main side and drink for £15. The food is fantastic quality and the blue cheese and brisket pizza in particular was a stand-out (and the leftovers tasted just as good the next day). The Brunch menu looks amazing too so we will definitely be back to give this a try

I've been to Ravello a few times now. They are consistently excellent with their coffee. Tastes just right, not too strong or bitter, full of flavour. Just what is needed after Saturday afternoon shopping! They have a good selection of cakes which are light and well made. Recommended.
