Reviews on Cafe food in Milies, Thessaly, Greece. Milies (Greek: Μηλιές) is a village and a former municipality in Magnesia, Thessaly, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality South Pelion, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 63.754 km. It is a traditional Greek mountain village, at a height of 400 m on Mount Pelion. It is 28 km from Volos, the capital city of Magnesia. Milies is connected with the GR-34A (Volos - Promyri) It has traditional stone houses, cobbled roads, good restaurants and accommodation in abundance. Milies is also notable for being the terminus of the narrow gauge (60 cm) Pelion Railway, built between 1895 and 1903 by the Italian engineer, Evaristo de Chirico, father of the famous artist Giorgio de Chirico. This proved to be of considerable economic advantage to the region. The recently railway runs between Ano Lechonia and Milies twice a week at the weekend. The village commands striking views across the Pagasetic Gulf and benefits from the many streams and water sources for which Mt. Pelion is renowned. These result in rich vegetation and cool, forested mountain slopes.

We are a small family run Cafe and boutique in the natural harbor of Damouchari. We are mainly working on coffee, juices, breakfast, dessert, salty and salads.
From both terrases you can overlook the small natural harbour. Here some scenes from the musical film Mamma Mia where shot. The cafe has a good variaty of breakfast and lunch. Healthy fresh drinks and healthy and not so healthy foods. Home made cakes etc. The owner Tomas is a very friendly guy. They also arrange sea kayak trips from here under the name Shakayak. You have to this kayak trip, amazing experience. Deserted bays abd beaches, caves etc.

Costa Kali Beach Bar is a wonderful place near Volos with natural shade, clean sea and a big (free) parking! Here the music and the breezy cocktails will definitely travel you to Tropical places!!!
Most of Afissos is a pebble beach...this is a lovely sand beach. You can sit out in the sun, under umbrellas, under magnificent trees or under a roof, all on the beach. I would definitely recommend this place when visiting Afissos. Sorry, we didn't eat anything so I really don't know about the menu, but it's still great for drinks.
The decoration of handmade woods is what will give you the interest to make your attitude and enjoy delicious handmade natural juices of many kinds, handmade granites, coffees, sweeten from traditional pastry sweets, savor with crepes, sandwich clubs , ha

Our second night in the region and this was a lovely gem to find. Host spoke perfect English and gave us terrific insight into the local dishes. Enjoyed fabulous local home made specialities and traditional Greek fare in a quiet pleasant environment. Why do you come to Greece if not for these special nights! There is no doubt we will be back later in our holiday.

During the day it is the best place in Afissos to enjoy your coffee or drink! In the night you can have a drink or dinner next to the sea and being served by a very polite and friendly staff.

The courtyard with plane trees, an ideal destination for hot summer days. Enjoy our Mediterranean cuisine with a modern twist, try our unique wines and essences, always under beautiful musical sounds.
They young Athenian couple who own and operate this sweet, cosy little restaurant have endless creativity, whether reinventing classic Greek cuisine with modern twists or sourcing the best local cheeses, produce and meats. There are daily specials, winter and summer menus, and no death of not only vegetarian but also vegan food. Easy to find, as it spans the main road, it's absolutely worth planning a stop here for lunch or dinner. In winter it's open Thurs. - Sunday only.

The place is still great, the view of the Pagasetic gulf magnificent, the location central, just in the corner of the village's square. But, unlike the past, service is slow, rather polite but not caring (i.e. they do not refill snacks that, typically in Greece are served with drinks). Desserts were very good, my cappuccino coffee wasn't. Another time our cocktails were served with too much ice etc. Nice music. Of course, it is a good option for an evening or a night out in Milies.

In the evening the Naftilos immediately stands out amongst the dozen or so bars along the beach front at Kala Nera as the best location for an evening cocktail. Located under a huge plane tree and with nice lighting and music the atmosphere is very relaxing. The selection of cocktails & other drinks is extensive are freshly made, good quality and value.
