Reviews on Cafe food in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Melbourne is proud of its neighborhood precincts, each offering a unique cultural experience. No other city in Australia has such clearly defined areas. This could be because Melbournians are both worldly in their outlook yet tribal in their local loyalties – as seen in the fanatical support for their local AFL football clubs. Here history is cared for and exemplified in the originality of diverse neighborhoods – each has a unique face but all of them will greet you with a smile.

Ok so, I use ONLY these beans in my machine at home as thereâs no denying they are THE best beans for making a perfect at-home coffee. However one day I decided to actually TRY a coffee at AXIL. I was so disappointed; it was terribly weak and barely warm. I drank it between the counter and their front door. Hhhhmm, I thought for a café that prides themself on the best beans in Australia (?) the coffee would be great. Terribly disappointed.

We ate Beef cheeks with hollandaise eggs which were unctuous and filling and mushroom French toast with truffle pecorino, prosciutto, cranberry salted toffee cream and spinach - a perfect balance of flavours which was substantial and sensationally delicious. Freshly squeezed juices and excellent coffee completed a wonderful brunch. Highly organised professional service to manage the flood of eager diners.

Hash is great for its novelty hot chocolate but there are other cafes worth trying. The staff are efficient but we felt the food was average especially as we'd waited outside in the drizzle for twenty minutes.

Since 2013, Bowery to Williamsburg (B2W) has combined the best of America in a refined style, and surroundings that Melbournians have come to expect. The classic New York Cityâs diner style joint is an homage to the NYC Bowery subway station. The venue ca

Larger premises than the original in Hardware Lane and no waiting in the street for a table (except maybe weekends). Food every bit as exceptional. Service cheerful and friendly and they even toned down the ubiquitous oompah muzak when they saw this old guy go for the ear plugs.Mouthwatering selection of breakfast and brunch dishes. We enjoyed the delicious lobster Benedict which came on a soft black bun with herbs and the outstanding and memorable tuna mille feuille, light, tasty and beautifully presented.

1932 is an Art Deco style cafe and restaurant located in the iconic Manchester Unity Building on Collins Street in Melbourne.
Yesterday we went on the 1932 Cafe and Tour of the beautiful Manchester Unity building. Our 2 course lunch with Prosecco was delightful and delicious then we headed into an Art Deco wonderland. Our tour guide was a fountain of knowledge and the views from the roof amazing!

Roule Galette is a little piece of France in the city where you will find French staff, speaking the language of Voltaire who will serve you in a warm and intimate setting reminiscent of Montmartre in Paris. Music, whether Breton or French songs of the la
Back in Melbourne for a visit, we definitely had to go eat at the Roule Galette again. Our meals were as fabulous as in the previous year. :-) Perfectly prepared galettes (= the savoury variety made with buckwheat) and crepes (= the sweet ones), friendly and prompt service, pleasant atmosphere. Merci beaucoup!
