The Wakeman's House cafe is a traditional tearoom, offering a range of tasty homemade sweet treats - scones, traybakes, sponge cakes, bakewell tart and apple pie to name but a few.Our light lunches include sandwiches, paninis, homemade soups and quiches,
Great value and great range of food. We're regulars for either cream scones or savoury cheese with cream cheese and chutney in a friendly place with character.

We called in here for a drink husband lured by the selection of beers. It was not exactly busy but the service took ages. Finally served my husband came out to say they would bring the drink out. Nothing arrived but a girl passed and asked us if we wanted anything, my husband replied no we were being served before he realised it was the girl who had already took his money. He went back in and she realised she had forgotten the drinks. I had to have still as they had no fizzy water and the girl serving did not seem to realised that some of the Belgium beer have to be poured slow to leave the sediment at the bottom of the bottle so it was a glass with rather a lot of floaters. Think they need a little more training but a nice place to stop and near the train station.Hi I am really sorry about this it shouldn't of happened I have spoken to the staff that was in yesterday and it was a new girl it was her first trail day and she was shadowing the other girl. I can only apologise and hope to see you again soon.

Our tearoom is a proper Yorkshire Dales experience with a fine selection of hot meals, soups, salads and sandwiches as well as traditional afternoon and cream teas. We offer an all day breakfast menu including our renowned âFull Yorkshireâ. We have daily
We had the greatest breakfast here sitting overlooking glorious countryside. The staff were very friendly and welcoming - the food and coffee were great. Can not fault it- do not miss it! Lots for children to do and enjoy including a village street with shop to play in plus outdoor play area!

Family run Tearoom, specialising in home baking. Also own and run the Abbey, we have a visitors centre within the Tearoom. Entry to abbey can be paid at the Tearooms, parking at Tearooms also.
Visited the Abby tea rooms for lunch on the way home after a walk around Aysgarth falls. I ordered the pâté and my husband had a burger. We were both quite underwhelmed when we received our plates. Mine had a tiny scone to a LOT of pâté and a bowl of salad. The scone sounded really good from the description on the menu but unfortunately that too was a let down, it was dry and tasteless. My husband enjoyed his burger but again felt there wasnât much on his plate (he had even removed his bun lid for me to eat my pâté) Overall itâs overpriced for what you get!

We have a 3 night stay at Swinton Castle and originally planned to eat in the Terrace the first night and Samuelâs the second night. The Terrace was so good (seriously faultless!) on our first visit that we decided to bin Samuelâs on the second night and go back to the Terrace. We werenât disappointed. Really outstanding food, top notch service in a light and airy environment. Even the cocktails prior to dinner (Mark the bartender made the best Sazerac Iâve ever had) were fabulous. All priced very reasonably too. I dare say we will be back tomorrow night too!

Liked the seasonal specials on the updated menu with the lamb fillet and asparagus particularly good. Food beautifully cooked. Nicely furnished but the place lacks a bit of atmosphere and was only half full on a Saturday night, yet bizarrely when I booked I was told they only had tables available at certain times.I am glad you enjoyed your meal and the surroundings. We try to spread tables out so people aren't rushed and can enjoy their evening. The Asparagus has been well received and hopefully you will return again soon ?Many thanks for your kind comments.Steve

The café at Bivouac is situated in a converted barn on the edge of the moors in the Yorkshire Dales. The surrounding views are breath taking, and the Druid's Temple, a folly which comprises of a main stone circle and several other features, is a short wal
We always pop in for a coffee, cake and maybe something more to eat after a long walk through the woods - it is the perfect location.Whilst it can get busy the food is always lovely and the service excellent - what's not to like !My personal fave - Gingerbread Latte with a tot of Jameson's - awesome !

Quality food at affordable prices. Food seasoned to perfection by our international chef. Located on the Masham Caravan Park. Surrounded by picturesque national park with lots to visit and to enjoy the relaxing nature. BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY WE ARE OPEN.
Due to the sheep fair being on, we could not get parked to enjoy our usual cafe in Masham for a cheeky Saturday full English treat.Having never been to the Old Station before, we decided to chance it on the way past.Very glad we did as they served the best full English weâve had for a long time. A lovely setting and very friendly and welcoming staff.Weâll certainly return.
