Love going in for a quick snack after shopping and a free coffee is cool. Waitrose card needed of course. Ladies that cook the snacks know what they are doing. Staff doing coffee are always friendly and helpful AND the smiles are genuine.
Cafe & Grill serving great delicious food all day and evenings on Friday & Saturday.. Amazing Illy coffee and homemade cakes. Sizzling gourmet burgers from our local butcher, chargrilled chicken, nachos, flatbreads, baguettes, draught beer, wine and soft
Visited WJâs with friends on Saturday night. The waitresses were lovely and helpful. Food was yummy, really enjoyed my chargrilled chicken, charred but moist. Friends had burgers, the mozzarella, tomato and halloumi burger looked amazing. Nice to have an option that isnât pasta and pizza in Marlborough!

I had the chicken supreme and my partner had the lamb shank. My chicken was very tasty but not quite as hot as I would have liked BUT the lamb shank (I tasted some!) was amazing! Really lean and minty and generous portions.Never been there before and pleasantly surprised. Decent, home-cooked food at sensible prices. Nice, kind of 'club atmosphere' but whether you're a member or not, friendly and comfortable. We are going back for the Christmas dinner! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed....

We are located in the beautiful Wiltshire country side over looking the K and A Canal, situated in the Engine house at Crofton Beam Engines, a historic landmark. All our food is homemade we offer daily specials, as well as sandwiches and toasties. All our
We have visited the enginemans rest several times in the past and have had wonderful food and service....So being a bank holiday monday we thought we would revisit. Heading straight to the cafe we ordered the homemade sausage rolls only to be told that they were not made on the premises anymore and did not have the onion marmalade in them. The guy behind the counter informed us that they were made at the local bakery and then reheated on site....Not quite what you expect for £3.50 each. Having said that the cakes were ok...if a little lacking in flavour. Staff were not that helpful or friendly. All in all a disappointing visit....bring back the two ladies who were running it a couple of years ago...We miss you and your home (on site) cooking

Popped in to Wendy's Community Cafe today with my wife and daughter for three bowls of delicious pumpkin soups and other bits and pieces. First time in here having heard lots of positive comments from friends in the village. Colourful and funky inside, friendly welcome, great service, very welcoming and lovely food. Got there around 12 midday and it was full 30 mins later as word has evidently spread about this place with a nice mixture of locals, mums and dads with children, bikers, walkers, etc. Well done Wendy and all the staff for putting an empty and unused building on the map, just wish you were there years ago when my daughter went to school and played tennis next door. We'll be back!

I found this place by accident as I normally stick to the âother endâ of Marlborough. Was really pleased. Friendly and welcoming staff. Option to sit inside or out. Good fresh food and tasty Latte. Will come again.

A delightful secret in the heart of Marlborough - yes in a Church!! This is more than a coffee shop - they produce the most delicious homemade lunches - our party enjoyed; quiche, chicken pie, cottage pie, cauliflower soup and chive scones, coffee cake and milkshakes. All scrummy! The restaurant area was packed and with good reason. Very accessible - wheelchairs, buggies, scooters. Topped off with lovely staff and the added bonus of a local craft & provisions retail outlet. We will be back!!
