I donât think there is many things better than having a walk on a Sunday morning and ending up in a reasonably priced food establishment for breakfast. The service is usually very good, the food comes out efficiently and tastes really damn good for a supermarket cafe. Will regularly frequent here over the coming months. They also do an option takeaway, which we found incredibly helpful when we were doing our new kitchen. Definitely recommend.

Meet Eat Drink Relax-It's what it says on the tin!
Walking around the town we found this lovely little tea room. Very clean, fresh and attractive. My friend and I were made to feel welcome and enjoyed toasted teacakes, tea and coffee. The coffee was excellent, being freshly ground. Savouries are served before 3pm and cakes throughout the day. The town seems to close quite early so it was nice to find a tea room open until 5pm. It was possible to sit outside on the pavement but too hot in the sun on this occasion. Iâm sure we will be visiting again.

We were wandering around Market Drayton looking for somewhere to eat, and couldn't see anywhere which looked particularly dog-friendly. Suddenly our dog pulled us towards the A-frame advertising Jones's, and we suddenly realised that it said dogs were welcome. So in we went and had a lovely soup and a cake. We were very please that our dog was apparently alert to an opportunity we'd missed.

We really do want to support Fordhall as it is a Community owned Farm. Unfortunately, the last 4 visits have been disappointing. I visited one lunch time with three friends. The meal was a long time coming and they messed up with the last order (they gave it to someone else) as my friends were on their lunch-hour, it meant they had to rush their meal. I have visited with another friend and had to wait quite a while for a coffee. I have noticed that when groups are upstairs, there are not enough staff to serve the Café. I went for breakfast with my husband and in spite of the cost, the meal was not up to a decent standard. The bacon was so hard it was impossible to eat. I complained and received some replacements but they were still hard and difficult to eat. This morning, I visited with another friend. We only wanted a coffee. Unfortunately, there was a meeting going on upstairs again. We ordered our coffees and waited. The waitress forgot our order and we had to remind her. She did apologise but nevertheless it was irritating. We really have come to believe that the "bread and butter" customers are being let down because of the meetings which seem to have priority. The food is not up to the standard it was. We used to love the Welsh Rarebit but last time we had it, it was half the size it was and had a lot less Rarebit. I have tried to contact Fordhall Farm with no success. There is no email address and there was no-one in the office, during office hours. There did not appear to be an answer-phone either. This farm serves the local community but if they do not do something about the Café, they are going to lose the locals as well as passing trade.Dear Isabella, We were so sorry to read your review, but we do thank you for taking the time to let us know. We were very sorry to hear that the bacon was over cooked for you and we will certainly take this up with our kitchen team. Your most recent visit was actually when we have a parent and toddler group in our upstairs function space. We provide a free space each Friday morning for local parents and toddlers to use, with toys and a safe space to play. These families are welcome to order coffees/drinks and food from the menu in our cafe, which can mean staff are running drinks and food up to them, whilst also serving customers downstairs. Whenever this space is used for an external meeting, they have their own tea and coffee facilities upstairs and therefore should not pull resources from our hard working staff downstairs. Our parent and toddler group (Seedlings and Saplings) is a free community space that we offer and it is certainly not our intention to let other customers suffer as a result. However, we do take your comments on board and we will look to see how we can improve on this. We care deeply about all of our customers and we would hate to think that you feel second best, because of another community group we have in the building. You mentioned the Welsh Rarebit, which is now only offered as one slice, instead of the option of two slices as before. The cost has also reduced as a consequence of this. If you would like two slices however, please do ask and the staff will be only too happy to oblige. I do hope you will give us another chance. Please do pop up to the office to see me when you are next in, I would welcome the opportunity to talk through the problems you have had face to face. Our office is open 9-5 weekdays, although on Friday's many of our staff only work half a day. All of our contact details can also be found on our website including our email address and telephone number (I would put them here, but Trip Advisor does not let me do so). We do have an answer machine on our main office phone, so I wonder what number you called. I am very sorry you were not able to get in touch with us via any other means. As a result of your comments, I will also add our contact details to our menu's so that all customers can feel as though they can easily get in touch with us. I look forward to seeing you at Fordhall again soon, and indeed meeting you to discuss through your concerns. I do hope you will pop in to see me. Very best wishes, Charlotte Hollins, Manager

A lovely tearoom off the beaten track with a selection of sandwiches/paninis/salads/hot dishes etc. Along with homemade cakes/scones/brownies and a choice of tea/coffee it's a great place to stop for a snack. Friendly staff and a little farm shop as well.
