Mum's treat to me for lunch today. The service was very good, we were given time to make our decision of what we wanted to eat. It was lovely and warm inside, and it was a nice haven from the awful Autumnal weather outside! A nice cosy atmosphere and mum had booked the table in the window for us. It would have been good if there had been more cushions for the wooden chairs, I managed to find 1 for Mum. I had a single all day English breakfast which was excellent, bacon,1 sausage, mushrooms, tomato, hash brown and an egg. All this with a slice of wholemeal or white bread and butter. This I felt was very good value for £ 5.95. The meal was served up on a very hot plate, which always pleases me! Mum had her usual choice of a cranberry and brie toasted sandwich, with salad and coleslaw. She could not manage all of it so what was left they put into a box for her to take home. I had a hot chocolate and mum an ordinary coffee. I think mum paid about £12.50 for the 2 meals and 2 drinks which was very reasonable.

Hearts Delight Garden Cafe - Serving Breakfast and home made lunches, Home-made Cakes & Scones. Breakfast from 9am - 11.30am, Lunch from 12pm - 2.30pm.
It's been many months since our last visit. There was no menu up, so we inquired as to what was available...we recieved a stroppy reply of "We don't have a standard menu, we have this board here with this, and this piece of paper here with that, and another piece of paper here about something else, and if you want you can get a Panini from the chiller".The attitude was the only thing that came for free.I had a Mozerella, ham and pesto Panino, my wife had a Tuna sandwich. We were hungry so each decided to indulge in a "Bucket of Chips" at £3.99, we thought that we could munch on the occasional chip for half an hour and chat.Do you know how many chips there were in the "bucket"? 13! That's about £0.30 per chip!! And they were only half done! The food was well below average and having just spent £21 for sandwich and chips twice, the thing that really surprised me, was the rather odd signs regarding their kids area. "THIS AREA WILL BE PERMANENTLY CLOSED IF YOU DON'T ABIDE BY THESE RULES" - it was too farcical to read, but the gist of it was that if one person mis-behaves, they'll close the kids area permanantly for everyone. All in all, I'm not going back, and there's a much more pleasant garden centre 2 miles down the road.Hi disvis Thankyou for taking your time writing your review.âBelow average food & serviceâAt Heartâs Delight Cafe we take much pride cooking a variety of homemade dishes on a daily basis, hoping to satisfy everyoneâs palette.Snacking on a bucket of our cooked to order â gourmet chipsâis one of our must haves, which is highly recommended by our customers.Unfortunately itâs sad to hear that you will not be back, thankyou for your feedback.Regards Restaurant Manager

our waiters and food were great. however we were prevented from giving a small bit of bread, cheese and banana to my 2 year old and told that we could only give her restaurant food. she is only 2 and doesn't eat restaurant food so instead of a nutritious snack we had to order cake for her !!!

Stopped off for lunch on a busy summers weekend. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Delicious ploughmanâs lunch, a little on the expensive side, but typical of a Tiptree tearoom.

Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Bacon bap was cooked as requested, could perhaps have been more bacon inside. Poached egg on toast was fine.4 hot drinks as well, totalled just under £20. Would visit again.

Hobsonâs Deli & Cafe is based in the heart the of the smallest town in England, Manningtree. Offering a wide range of Deli goodies, including sausage rolls, quiches, a delectable range of cheese and much more!
Have started to use this place regularly having recently moved my business nearby.Debbie, Erin and the team run a warm, welcoming Cafe and Deli that offers a little more in quality and sophistication than is the norm. The quality of the food is first class with the range of home made cakes, biscuits, sausage rolls and scotch eggs changing daily. There is also a good range of interesting deli' items and wine to take away if you wish. The seating outside is a comfortable bonus and the fact that well behaved dogs are welcome (I think they get most of the wonderful ham sold here as treats) is a very nice touch.Whether for a quick coffee/tea, a snack or a larger plate to satisfy your hunger, this place will never let you down so, if in Manningtree, make sure to acquaint yourself.

A family run business offering a full range of breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas in eclectic surroundings, with one of the best views locally overlooking the Stour Estuary. Situated in the centre of this historic village, adjacent to the Swan Basin,
Friendly welcome, lovely views across the Stour. Our food was excellent. The burgers are exceptionally good, tasty and beautifully cooked. We all had different cake but were in agreement that each one was delicious. Will definitely go back.Thank you so much for your lovely review - we hope you'll visit us again soon!

Cafe, serving great coffee & tea. All day menu Selection of wine & beer
I traveled half an hour each way to eat here, based on the reviews. A pet hate of mine is empty tables in tea rooms waiting endlessly for âbookingsâ, so I sat outside on a little table almost on the road. I ordered a Brie and cranberry sandwich on granary served with salad garnish and jackpot crisps, followed by a scone with jam and clotted cream. I thought they had forgotten my sandwich after a 40 minutes wait but it was almost ready. What can I say? It was certainly worth the wait!! Best sandwich Iâve ever had!! I had 2 delicious decaf lattés and then on to the fresh beautiful scone. I was disappointed it hadnât been warmed at first, but I neednât have been because it was superb! The only other time Iâve had clotted cream with scones was in my own tea rooms several years ago and this clotted cream was as good. Certainly worth traveling for. 10/10.Hi Wendy, I am so glad you enjoyed your lunch. It is such a grey area for us as to do we take bookings or not!!! Being so small we worry if people like yourself have made the effort to travel & then be turned away as we are full or like you say we have that short time of reserved signs & empty tables, which I appreciate does not look good!!! Hopefully we will see you again & with a seat inside.

Been here once before and greeted with same friendly and efficient service. Lots of little nick nack to look at and purchase. Ordered ploughmans with cheese and ham, and came with a lovely warm roll, homemade chutney and tastey coleslaw, plenty of pickled onions and grapes, lovely!!
