One of Europe’s oldest covered bridges serves as its centerpiece, and fresco-adorned historic houses line the streets, but it’s also home to the cutting-edge KKL, a concert hall and art gallery. Take the cableways up the Pilatus, Stanserhorn or Rigi mountains for breathtaking views, or see Lake Lucerne on a steamship cruise.

We stopped for lunch on a walking tour of the old city and were pleasantly surprised by the creative fusions. There were vegetarian and vegan options. We ate outside and service was prompt and friendly. There is quite an array of starters which can make quite a good meal as tapas plates. I sampled muhamarra, a hummus served with flatbread and garnished with pomegranate seeds and walnuts. I also had oyster mushrooms coated in a tempura style chickpea batter and fried, served with a smoky tomato and vegetable sauce. For dessert we had an ingenious fusion dessert, apricot momos filled with apricots and lemon verbena, an excellent flavor combination. The momos were baked rather than steamed. This was a wonderful lunch from a menu with many things to try. I would certainly return.

THE PLACE TO BE FOR EVERY BRUNCH LOVER! Enjoy a large variety of mouthwatering delicacies such as pancakes, waffles, crêpes, hash browns, freshly baked bread, homemade jam, eggs, healthy smoothies, great coffee, tea etc. It's all freshly prepared and home
Our 18 year old came up with this recommendation just based on its location (not far from station) and menu online. It far exceeded expectations. An intelligent and delectable menu. Great quality food with some fabulous presentation. Cosy decor. Seemed a great favourite with locals too.Thank you so much!!!

Perfect view of Lake Lucerne, if seated on the balcony, and delicious cappuccino. We saw this 2nd floor establishment while walking around Lucerne, and decided to do a quick check on ratings. Turned out to be an excellent choice for coffee, a big lunch crowd when we were there, busy ambiance, comfortable seating. Service was slightly slow, but that's ok, as I loved the chill vibe. Having lunch here was an option as well, as the food looked delicious and well presented, though we had to be somewhere in 40 min so did not want to rush it. Would recommend to others.

La Vie en rose - where life happens in Lucerne. Where you gladly meet with friends and business partners, where you feel comfortable and allow yourself to enjoy the world through pink glasses for a few minutes of indulgence.
Sat down close 3pm after a exploring Lucerne on a sunny and hot. Service was prompt, coming by multiple times with a cheerful attitude to see if we were ready. We got a couple of iced teas (interesting flavors available) and a piece of excellent chocolate mousse cake. Total cost was about 16CHF. It's a good place to relax overall.Thank you very much for your positive feedback. Kind regards your La vie en rose Team
