Lixouri is the second largest community in Kefalonia after Argostoli and before Sami and is the capital of the small peninsula. It is located south of Fiskardo, west of Argostoli.

A great place to have a dessert and a coffee overlooking the main square in Lixouri. They make nice crepes and pancakes served with toppings such as fresh fruit, Nutella or syrup but if you decide to visit, I recommend trying the Kaminada (also known as Kurtos Kalacs, or Chimney Cakes, these are hollow cylindrical pastries topped with cinnamon and brown sugar then cooked to give a lovely caramalised flavour â I had one with Nutella and couldnât get close to finishing it!) and enjoying sitting watching the comings and going of the Argostoli ferry and the people wandering around the main square.

Cafe bar on the main squares corner. Serves delicious coffee, the best draft beer, excellent breakfast, burgers and sandwiches. Good prices compare to other places on the main square and the most inspired cocktails. I definitely recommend it!

We were on holiday in kefalonia and found this gem of a bar in the centre square of lixouri. The staff are lovely and certainly very friendly! Would recommend to anyone wanting a great night out in lixouri.

A good pit stop after the beach for a nice cold drink and a basic toastie or sandwich at lunchtime. Staff friendly and food and drink cheap as chips. Lots of steps so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues

Loved visiting here on a morning after breakfast. My husband said the cappuccino was the best coffee he had in Lixouri. Two coffees â¬5. Good value. Excellent service. Great relaxing place to sit by the harbour. Thank you very much for your kind words. We are really happy that you enjoyed your coffee and we hope to see you again.

Had high hopes here after reviews, but did not deliver. Staff disinterested. Lunch souvlaki dry and overcooked. As usual, no disabled toilet so had to schlepp upstairs. Worse of all, the owner(?) smoking away in the restaurant ( a common problem we encountered almost everywhere on Kefalonia) despite this being illegal - and to take the biscuit - when chatting to a friend outside the front door, he held his cigarette inside the restaurant while he leaned outside to talk!

We stopped here for breakfast on our 1st day. We were so impressed with the quality and service that we went back for breakfast another 2 times during our stay.The Pancake stacks and the homemade Lemonade & milkshakes are excellent. The English breakfast is not quite your full English, but was okay. The location, whilst convenient for us, was not exactly the best (right by a busy road/junction) and comparatively the prices here are on the higher end.
