The restaurant attached to Kylemore Abbey (Mitchell's ) offers anything from a sandwich to a full meal and is a must visit when you have finished touring the magnificent grounds and Abbey. It can be quite crowded at times but adequate seating means you will not be waiting long to be seated. The food is excellent and the price as per other restaurants in the area.

I suspect that people who don't like this place arrived during a busy time, had unreasonable expectations,or were already in a bad mood. The cafe is nothing special, but it is clean, bright and well-organized, with plenty of seating under most circumstances. My coffee was good, my snack was OK. Service was quick and pleasant, and prices were reasonable. We were here for the abbey and gardens. I don't know of anyone who would come here specifically for the cafe.

with spectacular views of Clifden bay this cafe bar offers a range of very reasonably priced homemade cuisine. Enjoy panaramic views at the waters edge and maybe sit out in the beer garden with a refreshing beverage. located only one mile from the centre
Had a few beers in the garden while watching the most amazing sunset. Back in the bar we shared a bowl of chips for a snack which were given to us 'on the house' which was a very nice gesture. Good beer, nice people and this is the best view in Clifden by far. We walked back into town in the dark-although the owner offered us a lift-but it was lovely to see the stars! The food looked very good, will try a meal next time for sure.

Stopped here on our way to Galway at the recommendation of a local. Food was very tasty. Unfortunately, they had just cleaned and put away the waffle maker so we couldn't get them. They kindly offered to get it back out but we didn't want them to have to clean it again just for us. Lots of street parking available nearby.
