I happen by this strip mall, saw the Red Oak sign, never heard of it so I decided to give it a try. Stepped in the door and almost turned around because it was so crowded (at 11am) and I didn't see any open tables. But the hostess knew of a small table and seated me immediately, which according to previous reviews, I got lucky! They serve breakfast till they close, so I asked for both menus. Glad I did because I combined items from both for my meal of a Belgian waffle (delicious--fluffy with warmed maple syrup) and mac 'n cheese with a side of baked potato soup. All carbs, I know, but there were bacon crumbles! These are homemade from family recipes, and it shows! Prices are a little high, but worth every penny. Service was surprisingly good considering how packed this place was. Red Oak exudes pride of ownership.

Came on a busy Saturday morning. Finally got the food after they struggled to figure out who in the restaurant got what. They give you numbers to put on your table after you order at the counter. The number ties to your receipt. Pretty simple method but it just wasnât working for them. Finally got my Latte after leaving my plate clean. The guy gives it to me without an apology and leaves my empty plate sitting on the corner of the table. Mediterranean omelet was very good. Cafe Latte was luke warm upon arrival. Hope this was just a glitch morn. Good food but improve the service and attitude of the staff.

My husband and I decided to come here for breakfast to try something different. It was quite busy but we were seated quickly. Many of the items on the menu were healthy. He ordered the Belgian waffle and I had French toast. The serving was a good size but the taste was mediocre in our opinion. Seeing the egg dishes others had ordered made me wish I had tried those instead. My husband had coffee and they brought a pot and left it on the table. He said the coffee was too strong for him. I had hot tea and had a variety of teabags to choose from. The cups were a good size and the beverages were hot. Service was good and cheerful. I donât think my husband will go back. I would give it another try maybe.
