Reviews on Cafe food in Kunming, Yunnan, China. Kunming is the capital and largest city of Yunnan province in southwest China. Known as Yunnan-Fu until the 1920s, today it is a prefecture-level city and the political, economic, communications and cultural centre of the province as well as the seat of the provincial government. Kunming is also called the Spring city due to its weather. The headquarters of many of Yunnan's large businesses are in Kunming. It was important during World War II as a Chinese military center, American air base, and transport terminus for the Burma Road. Located in the middle of the Yunnan–Guizhou Plateau, Kunming is located at an altitude of 1,900 metres (6,234 feet) above sea level and at a latitude just north of the Tropic of Cancer. Kunming has as of 2014 a population of 6,626,000 with an urban population of 4,575,000, and is located at the northern edge of the large Lake Dian, surrounded by temples and lake-and-limestone hill landscapes.

Quaint fusion restaurant with many interesting internationally inspired food ideas including many vegetarian / vegan options.
At last a proper vegetarian/vegan restaurant thats nice and served excellent food en drinks. Not easy to find with Happy Cow but we succeeded and were rewarded. Some english spoken. Healthy dishes and nice service, prices moderate (to high for Chinese understandings).
We welcome you to come and relax in our home away from home at Prague Cafe, Beichen. Since 1999 we have been serving awesome coffee and a delicious western menu in a relaxed and friendly environment. Whether you are looking for breakfast, lunch, dinner or
This place has the most authentic flat white Iâve had in China, so if you like your coffee I would highly recommend a visit. The space itself is very modern and comfortable. I can imagine spending a lazy afternoon here doing some work or meeting friends. They serve western food at very reasonable prices. We would recommend the burger!
It is 9.45am now and all you can get is coffeePlace looks nice omelets in the display but no food here in the morning cappuccino was perfect however.

Fantastic coffee shop with consistently good coffee, The desserts are the best I've had in China so far. Obviously made fresh each day with top quality ingredients. It's quickly become my favourite coffee shop in Kunming! I recommend the layered mango cake!

The best Kiwi cafe, bakery and bar in Kunming, possibly China. breakfast, cakes, pies, pizzas, lunch, freshly roasted Yunnan coffee, dinner, salads, imported beers and wines, free wifi
It should probably go without saying that the pizza here is the real deal, much better than what's available at international chain outlets such as Pizza Hut. I like that they only offer a few pizzas instead of some huge number. Quality of ingredients is high. Atmosphere pleasant, service friendly, prices reasonable. I had a small salad and a beer plus a medium pizza for 80 something RMB. Was there for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Not very busy.

You'd expect a place that bills itself as French to serve decent wine and some standard French dishes e.g. steak frites. But this seems to be yet another foreign-owned burger and pizza joint. (They do have at least one French dish to be fair - a croque-monsieur - which is a kind of upmarket toasty). The staff seem distracted and inattentive. The cafe gets quite smoky and doesn't have a no smoking area, despite being on two floors.

Salvador's Coffee House aims to provide a diverse selection of international cuisines made from fresh and healthy ingredients and is well known for homemade ice cream and local organic coffees.
We had 2 visits here as the atmosphere looked great. The first meal was lovely, but the second time I had the pepperoni pizza. And I can't imagine anyone thinking this slice of bread with warm tough meat with cheese on resembles anything like pizza. And im still recovering the after effects now.
