Things to do in Ithaca
We stumbled on this cafe on our first day trying to find a nice place for a coffee. It turned out the regular morning coffee place throughout our 4 day holidays in Ithaki :)Besides the quality espresso the service was impeccable & very friendly. The first time I ordered, my coffee came back somewhat too sweet but they immediately offered to replace without any charge. Interior of the cafe is very well decorated that is if you can resist to sit by the sea with a great view of Vathi !
This cafe is a great new addition to the town of Vathy, excellent coffee (the frappe was really good (she had that one) and my green tea was superb, the only place here that makes it it with tea leaves (gunpowder green - excellent). Try their cakes, also very tasty. Heres a welcome to them and hope they do well. See you next year.

One of the first cafes we came to and it had a nice waterfront location. Nice and clean inside. Large inside patio area part sub part shade.

This little cafe is on the far side of Vathy, out of the beaten path, by the entrance of the town. It is rather charming and simple just whatnot might need on a hot August afternoon. We had a couple of ouzos with meze under the trees watching the yachts passing by. It was quiet and cool. Perfect.

All you need after a long bike ride on Ithaca: a freshly squeezed orange juice and a really delicious homemade sweet!! The ideal choice for a quiet and cozy place right next to the sea! Don't forget to get your favourite book!

Our place is open from 8 pm serving breakfast and fresh juices and closes late at night with quality music and handmade cocktails
We came across this cafe/bar during a stop off on a day trip to Ithaca. Intended to just have a coffee but ended up having really yummy pancakes as a brunch! Really friendly service and reasonable prices, obviously frequented by tourists but didnât feel like a tourist trap.

Oh dear. Not at all what I hoped for. In this tiny town of a small number of overpriced taverners and little else, we decided to give this small cafe our business. Yes, it was more expensive than its ilk on the main island, but that's to be expected. The dry baguette of wilted lettuce cheese and "turkey" was like chewing cardboard it was so dry. The staff preparing food and drink behind the bar whilst smoking was a simple reminder that not all EU laws are followed here. (+) my wife likened her cheese toastie to what she would expect from other cafes we had seen. (-) smoking behind bar and disgustingly dry and limp toasted baguette.
