Do not confuse this place with the former Karlin Market and Deli. These are new owners with a new and different deli. Mikowski's makes their own sausages, hot dogs, jerky, snack sausages, bologna and several other goodies. They sell fresh meat, and make delicious deli subs and sandwiches, and fried chicken. They also have a smokehouse, and on week-ends will smoke whole chickens, chicken wings, and various types of meats. They make excellent pizzas at a reasonable price. Their smoked hot dogs are the best, as are their Teriyaki sausages, smoked kielbasa and fresh Polish sausage. The owner has 44 years in this type of business. Highly recommended, especially their smoked kielbasa.

We ordered two scramble wraps, two lattes, and two slices of pie. They struggled with basic customer service skills (acknowledging the customer) and had poor work flow. We received the wraps first. Average at best (2stars) and will not need to return for breakfast again. The pie slices came next. We finished our wraps before we got the chai lattes. There was a small crowd- just internal struggles on a system. The phone rang and even that took 7-8 rings to answer. The pie is good (4 of 5) which pulled the review up to a 3. I’d definitely go back for a slice of pie but would skip breakfast and probably this branch of the chain.Hi Danstromd, thank you very much for visiting our original location on West Front Street. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your slices of pie but I'm very sorry to hear we dropped the ball on the rest of your experience. I'd love to have our General Manager contact you to personally follow up and invite you back in on us. Would you mind sending me your phone number or email address? My direct email is [email protected]. Thank you very much for your time and for letting us know. - Erin, GT Pie Social Media Manager

We arrived here close to 9 am on a Sunday and they were already on a wait so it is popular. The food is very very good; omelettes that are authentically made, wonderful coffee, and delicious slipper bread toast comes with the meal. They have changed their menu and we miss the peasant omelette and the French omelette. But we had the herb omelette with cheese and it is very good- we just liked the old entrees that had been on the menu more. The service needs a tune up as there were long gaps in getting waited on when finally seated after about 45 minute wait ( and then it took us at least 10-15 min to get a glass of water and order coffee and we had to follow up to get little things like cream with the coffee and there are no spoons in the table for stirring). The cleaning and turning of tables even when vacated takes a long time and restaurant is pretty small so you cannot be in a hurry. That being said, we still like the food. Hope service can get back on its game again and they put some old favorites back on menu.
