Real Food. We believe the secret to a great sandwich is great ingredients. Our bread is baked from scratch every morning by a local baker. Our meat is free range and local, crafted the old-fashioned way by an artisan butcher. Our cheese is handmade by a v
Right from the ability to choose my own tea mug (was a tough one between German Shepherd bone China or Badger mug) to the freshest bread and the perfect balance of condiments in the sandwiches this place is exceptional. I opted for the smoked fish over the coaster with poached egg and prosciutto and would have been delighted with either. Service is great, love the upcycled feel of everything and the culinary expertise of the sandwich creator is evident in every choice on the beautifully simple menu. Yeah Hokitika.

Ramble + Ritual is a fresh and inspiring café specialising in exceptional coffee, superb salads and an ever changing delicious selection of baked goods including a fantastic variety of sweet, savoury, gluten and dairy free, low-no sugar and raw treats.
This place lives up to reviews and yes cheese scones. The salads are great. This is close to my ideal of a cafe - relaxed atmosphere, good integration with locals, very good cafe and good magazines! We cannot wait to go again!

New Zealand food is expensive, so when you are paying a premium you expect to have above average food.Ordered poached eggs on ciabatta and also a bacon and egg buttie. Though neither come with Ciabatta.A half cooked English muffin that is still doughie is not Ciabatta. As for food standard compared to our trip this was the worst breakfast in two weeks on the South Island. would look elsewhere for other options Even the plants once looked happy but would sum up how we felt when we left after a very disappointing breakfast

I ordered the chowder and a berry smoothie for lunch. Service was prompt and pleasant. Tables and chairs were uncomfortable, table needed to be revarnished. The chowder arrived, in a large cup, too small a serving for a main. Bread was poorly toasted and chewy. The chowder was basically a chunky vegetable soup with some frozen seafood mix and cream. This was an embarrassment to the beautiful port town. No flavour of the sea. Never before have I had spinach in a chowder. The smoothie was lumpy and poorly mixed.Chowder is NOT a main meal.$16Reading your last reviews i dont think anyone could please you.The sad thing is, Staff and us try so hard to get everthing correct we are sorry we failed.Smoothie is fresh berries..bush honey and 100% naturalSmoothie is not a milk shake

We are a fully licenced cafe serving wines and beers, catering for all tastes. We have an extensive breakfast menu including the "Big Kiwi", Eggs Benedict, Sweet and Savoury Pancakes plus many more options. We also have a variety of lunch and snack option
Ordered 2 serves fish and chips, small coffee, small orange juice = $52.00 !!!It wouldn't have been so bad had the meal been tasty. The fish was chewy and the batter greasy with French fries and not chips. All in all, a really disappointing meal.
